Dear Journal~
Hi!~ This is your friend, Ronee', writing in here again! Hope this finds you well; I am doing great! :)
I had such a good time in Hollywood, I am STILL walking on a cloud. THIRD place out of seven acts?? I STILL can't believe that only two kids got more points than me...and here I was, all worried about NOTHING! I also got to meet Dave Coulier, Scarlett Pomers, Bobby'e J. Thompson, and Daryl Sabora (or whatever his name is; he was in the movie, "Spy Kids"), and I got to meet the other acts who shared the stage with me. All were quite nice, and I enjoyed my experience in Hollywood very much! I also got to go to the Hard Rock Cafe', and I got to see Mann's Chinese Theatre, and I got to see the Hollywood Star Walk of Fame, which was neat, and I also got to see some of the star's homes. WOW, some of those houses were INCREDIBLE; they made MY house back in Tennessee look like a SHACK! LOL The weather was rainy a good chunk of my trip, but by trip's end, it cleared, and we got to go to Disneyland...almost put DisneyWORLD; I ALWAYS get those two mixed up! LOL
But now I am back at school, and back at home, where I have gotten back into my normal routine. I am happy to see all my friends (when I first came back to school upon my return, they had a special assembly, and they all cheered when I came into the gym; I CRIED!!), and also my teachers, and I am especially happy to see my bestest bud, Nicole. She is looking good, and it looks like she has lost some weight. She was so happy to see me, almost as much as I was to see her! I got all my homework caught up, and I am waiting now for report cards, which will be given out this Friday. Hopefully I did well! I HATE the thought of getting bad grades, but my daddy and maman are always telling me that I worry too much because I wouldn't know a bad grade if it came up and smacked me one in the puss! LOL
Guess what! My friends Roberto and M'Buti Sormiento (and their oldest son, Jubaki, who will be seven in June, on my half-birthday!) are on a CRUISE! They left yesterday; they are on their way to Cozumel and Playa del Carmen in Mexico, and they will be gone a week. I hope and pray they have a great time on their cruise; cruises are a lot of fun! I went on a cruise just about one year ago, but we went to Alaska, and we were gone for two wonderful, glorious weeks! We will be doing it again probably next year or so, but the next time we go to Alaska, we are taking the WHOLE family! This should prove to be quite interesting...LOL I will have to see how their cruise to Mexico went; I can't wait for M'Buti, Jubaki, and Roberto to come back from Mexico!! I would love to go to Mexico myself, get a taste of my Spanish heritage, and get to pig out on Mexican food (YUMMY! I especially love chicken quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas, jalapeno peppers, and burritos!) and frolic around on the beach and swim in the "ocean blue"~ Whee! That sounds like MY kind of vacation! :)
I am waiting to see where I will be singing this spring and summer; I do know we are going to Louisiana for the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge, but that isn't until May, and I DO know that we are going to Fan Fair again in June; we go to the Crawfish Festival and Fan Fair (now known as the CMA Music Festival) every year. Those two places are annual trips for our family, and we always have the best time! But as for other places where I will be performing at, I have yet to get my schedule from my manager. Hopefully I will get it soon! That way, I can make plans and pack accordingly. I am looking forward to performing this year; I always enjoy singing my Cajun-country music for the people who come, and I really enjoy making them happy! I get such a rush from hearing their applause and cheers, and I always enjoy the feeling of satisfaction I get when I am on that stage! :) I also enjoy meeting the "bigwigs" of musicdom, and I enjoy seeing the countryside! :)
Well, I had best go..my study hall teacher is giving me the evil eye. I guess she wants me to go to lunch (pluse I have discovered that I was so busy writing, I didn't hear the other kids leave for lunch! WHOOPSIE! LOL); so I best shut this down and write in here later on today or tomorrow! Stupid, silly me! LOL Guess I let time slip by me too quickly; I sometimes do that, you know! So on that note, I am OUTTA' HERE! I am going to feed my face! So C ya!
