Johnny writes his friend in California a letter while waiting for his mother and sick sister to come back from the doctor's office, after Ronee' got a sinus infection the day before.

Dear Rebekkah~
Hi! This is your friend, Johnny, writing! Thanks so much for writing, and thanks so much for the email; it was great to hear that you are home from the hospital! You really had my sister all worried: when she found out that you went into the hospital, all she could do was cry. Now she is sick, but she isn't in the hospital. She has a very bad sinus infection, and this morning, when she got up, she had a bloody nose: there was blood all over her pillow, which greatly upset her, as she can't stand the sight of blood (especially if it is her own). She also had a throbbing headache, and the area around her eyes and nose was all puffy and swollen. She really looked miserable! Maman took her to the doctor this morning, hopefully he can do something to relieve the pain and pressure inside her head. She felt so bad she didn't even go to church yesterday, and she even missed her program on PAX, "America's Most Talented Kids", which is so unlike her. Be praying for her is all I ask, okay?? Thanks!
Other than that, the rest of our family is well (Barbara is starting to sniffle and sneeze, maybe she is coming down with something; she has always had problems with her sinuses herself), and I am too. I am feeling pretty good, actually. I am also off school this week for spring break, and it is going to be nice to relax and kick back for a week, with no school worries to speak of! I am not feeling as weak as I have on some days, and my breathing hasn't gotten any worse (the oxygen, physiotherapy, and meds are helping), so that is good news right there. I wish I didn't have to wear the oxygen, but my lungs aren't that strong, so I have to, darn it!
Maman goes back to work tomorrow, but she can't be doing any heavy lifting or any unnecessary (uh, I think I spelled that wrong! LOL) bending over, or she could risk injuring her back, which would not be good since she just had major back surgery. She is now back to using a cane; she is off the walker, and she is getting around better now than she has in years! Best of all, maman isn't having any sciatic pain in her legs or back, and she feels so much better! She is smiling and laughing more, and it makes me happy to see HER acting so happy! :) She is really looking forward to going back to work, she has really missed it! She has worked some, but nothing like she was before she had her back surgery.
I am sitting in the living room, typing this on the family's computer, and then I may go to Jose' 's house after maman and Ronee' get back from the doctor's office. Sounds like a good plan; it is so pretty out today, and I would like to go to Jose' 's house (that is, if I can get Anh to take me; today is his day off from his job at Dairy Queen). Or maybe I will just sit around and play my video games or read some or even maybe watch tv. We are on spring break for nine days, and then we are off for Good Friday and the Monday following Easter; we then go back for good the next day, and then we have school every day until school ends at the end of May. Then we are off for just about three months for glorious, wonderful summer vacation! WHEE! :) I LOVE summer vacation; we go on the coolest trips, and we always have so much fun as a family!
Maman and daddy are getting ready to go to Greece in May, and I am getting ready to go to Alaska next month. I am going to Alaska for a week to see my friend, Sikik Eegeesiak, and maman and daddy are gong to Greece for a week and a half for a wedding. Maman's friend in Finland, Sari Gustaffssenn, is getting married to Nikolas Constantinos, who lives in Greece, and after they get married, they will live in Greece in the summer, and in the late fall, they will live in Finland, so Sari can spend the winter and early spring with her family and spend the Christmas holidays there. I have met Sari and Nikolas, and they are both very sweet; you would like them! I know I do, especially Sari! Sari is cool! :)
How is your leg doing now? I hope it isn't causing you any more pain. That must be horrible not to feel pain, and then you get sick, and then you end up in the hospital, and you feel pain. Pain is no fun, and neither is the hospital food or the repeated needle sticks! I have been stuck so many times in my life it's a wonder I don't leak whenever I take a bath! LOL I feel like a human pincushion at times! OW! LOL I am glad you get to spend the Jewish Sabbath at home instead of the hospital; I know much your faith means to you, and that is good. My faith is important to me too, and I am looking forward to the Easter Cantata at our church, and also the special Easter services! The music is always so joyful, and the people always look so nice in their Easter best! And the church is full to capacity, and everyone enjoys the Easter Message and the worship music! They also love the Cantata, and they understand what Easter really means, and it gives them a whole new perspective on the holiday, which is how it SHOULD be, not all this candy or Easter bunny stuff! I'd much rather think about JESUS at Easter than about eating chocolate bunnies or candy peeps!
Well, Rebekkah, I think I heard maman's van come into the driveway. Yup. I hear the doors opening and closing; they are home, so I will go for now. I will let you know next time how Ronee' made out at the doctor's (that is, if she doesn't beat me to it first; she usually is good at doing that! LOL), and about other things. Take care, and God bless you, Rebekkah!
