Ronee' 's latest journal jotting. She is feeling a little better today, but she is a little sad that she will have to miss the St. Patrick's Day party at her school.

Dear Journal~
I am lying here in bed, trying not to feel sorry for myself because I have a sinus infection, but I DO feel better ever since I went and saw Dr. Emmons on Monday. He gave me some strong pills for my sinus infection, and he gave me a shot, and they seem to have helped. I don't feel nearly as cruddy as I did on Sunday or Monday, and yesterday evening, I actually started feeling better, and I am feeling better as the time goes by. But until this is gone, I can't go to school, so until then, I am stuck here at home. HORRORS!
Today is my sissy Barbara's birthday. She is 16 years old today, and she will be celebrating with her friends (and her boyfriend), I am sure. They may go skating tonight after we get home from church. Okay, I am not going to church, but the rest of the family is, and I will be home all by my lonesome. Oh, well...I think I shall look forward to the peace and quiet! :) It seems like only yesterday she was a wild tomboy; now she is a young lady, and she isn't nearly as wild as she used to be. She is really getting to be very pretty, and she is getting to be a lot nicer, too, besides.
I wrote to my friend, Rebekkah Rachel in Sacramento, California; she is out of the hospital, but like me, until she is feeling better, she can't go to school. She had an infection, and she is now taking antibiotics (as I am; ICK!), but the important thing is this: we are BOTH on the mend, and we are BOTH feeling better, so that is good! I am waiting for her to email me; I always enjoy it whenever she writse to me!
I am a little miffed, though: tomorrow our school is having a St. Paddy's Day party, and I can't go to it. During the party, we have green sugar-coated cookies done in the shape of a shamrock, we listen to Irish music, we talk about St. Paddy's Day and why it is such an important holiday to the Irish (I can count myself in that group because I DO have some Irish in my blood, on my biological mother's side! :) ), and we also eat corned beef and cabbage, and we have boiled potatoes, which are traditional Irish dishes (and very good ones at that! YUMMY!). We also have to wear green. But alas, tomorrow, I won't be at the party: I will be here at home, recovering from my sinus infection, and I will no doubt be BORED! I missed it last year too, and I also missed the year before. Again, both times was because I was sick. I don't know why, but I seem to get sick around St. Paddy's Day! I may be part Irish, but I sure don't have the Irish LUCK when it comes to St. Paddy's Day because I always somehow end up SICK! ARRGGGGHHH!
I just hope someone saves me a shamrock cookie or brings me some corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes tomorrow; if not I will be SORE!!
Excuse me, but I have to sneeze; be back...
*OW* One rule of thumb here, folks: NEVER sneeze when you have a sinus infection! You either make a disGUSTing mess, or else your head feels like it is going to pop right off your body! Now I have a killer headache, and my nose is tingling badly! But I CAN breathe a little easier! LOL
I felt so bad Sunday night I didn't even watch my show, so I will have to wait until tomorrow to see who won. Oh, well...at least I can watch it again if I miss it on Sunday! I also didn't even go to church, but I AM going tonight! Even if I have to go there by AMBULANCE, I AM going to church tonight! LOL
Well, I am getting hungry, so I am going to see if I can scare up something to eat, so I will go now. Until later, this is your (sick, but recovering) friend, Ronee', signing on out of here! So until later, bye for now!
~Luv, your (homebound, sick-with-a-sinus-infection-but-recovering) friend, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux. :)
