Dear Louie~
I am so sorry for not writing sooner, but Michael and myself both just got over a bout of the stomach flu. We were both pretty sick, but I was hit especially hard, and I ended up in the hospital for a few days due to dehydration. They had to put me on I.V.'s and the whole deal, and I lost something like 10 pounds due to all the vomiting I did. I was one sick Inuk! It was NOT fun!!
But I am home now, still recovering and trying to gain lost weight; and I still feel as weak as a kitten. The stomach flu really took a lot out of me. I hope this finds you still on the mend, and I hope this finds you and your beautiful Northern Lights family well and happy!
I am sorry for not writing sooner. Besides the stomach flu, I have also been trying to tackle this disaster that is our apartment, and I am afraid if we get any more junk, we may be forced to have to move, so we can have room! It is getting quite cramped in here! I hope you understand why I haven't written!
I was happy to hear that Ronee' did very well on her show; that is terrific news! But then I always knew she was a star! :) I was also happy to hear that Johnny is looking forward to his upcoming trip to the Frozen White Northland. I bet he is getting excited by now! How is HIS health holding out? I hope he is doing splendidly! I was also sorry to hear that Barbara was sick with yet another sinus infection. She really has had a time with her nose, hasn't she? I never knew such a small thing could give a person so much trouble! I am so glad I don't have sinus trouble! That would be the worst!
How is Bill doing with his health? Has he been sick any, or has he managed to stay away from the germs? I hope he is well too; and I hope he is working hard at Wal*Mart, greeting those happy customers!
Have you heard from Sikik or Sari yet? Aren't you scheduled to go to Greece sometime in the next few months for Sari and Nikolas' wedding? I bet you are really excited at the thought of going to such an exotic location; you are so lucky to get to travel like you do! Are you going on any more cruises soon? If so, where? I wouldn't get on one of those big ships if my life depended on it; I am scared to death of water, and I can't swim, not even float! I also get sick on boats. So I plan on staying away from those cruises as long as I possibly can; cruising is NOT for me! No siree!
The Northern Lights are starting their annual spectacle; Northern Light season is fastly approaching, and I shall be able to send you some pictures before too long. I always enjoy looking at the Lights: that way, I can see Father and Mother again, and I can also see my ancestors, and I won't feel nearly so alone!
I am getting around about the same: mostly by wheelchair, and using one forearm crutch when I am on my feet. Still a huge pain in the neck, and I have already fallen and raised some bruises (and various other bumps) on my cheeks upon my falling. I would give ANYTHING to be able to use my one arm or leg again; I HATE being paralyzed on one side and depending on everyone to help me! And it just takes so darned long to type or do anything else!
The weather here is finally starting to warm up a little: highs in the 30's the last several days (break out the suntan lotion, Jenna!), lows in the teens. It is kinda' nice, after the hard winter we had here! I will be glad to see the flowers and grass again! Hope the weather is okay down there in the Lower 48, especially where you are at!
Well, Louie, this isn't much, but I am getting tired and weak again, and I have to rest. I am still feeling the effects of the stomach flu that both Michael and I had, and it's really kicked me hard right between the eyes! I will write more later when I am feeling better. Until then, this is Jenna signing off. Take care, and blessings to you and your beautiful family!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your Alaskan friend, Jenna Aurora in Anchorage. :)
