Dearest Rani Kalpana~
You are a beautiful little girl! Thank you so much for writing to me; you don't know HOW excited I was to hear from you! It seems that you are doing better; I am so happy to know that! You have been in my prayers, and already you are in my heart! You can't imagine just how much I love you already! I am looking forward to when you can be our daughter and join our family here in America!
This is your mama, Louisiana, writing. I have your letter on my computer stand, and I look at it every day. You seem to be coming along in your therapies, and you seem to be getting better! When I first saw you back in Sri Lanka, you were so very sick, and I cried buckets of tears over you! I didn't think you were going to make it, but I am happy, awfully happy, that you did! You are a Miracle, and God has some mighty big plans for you! And your joining our family is just the beginning of many good things that will surely happen to you!
How are you eating? Are you putting any weight on that skinny little body of yours? What foods do you like? You send me a list of what you like, and I will make sure to make them when you come! How is little Arjun doing? I pray he is doing well too; and I am looking forward to having a baby around the house again! It has been several years since we last had a baby in our family; my youngest children are now older than the age of three, and all of my children (your future brothers and sisters) are growing so fast!
Do you like animals? If so, what do you like? Cats? Dogs? Birds? Rabbits? Horses? The reason I ask, Rani, is because we have many pets here; and I am sure you will enjoy them. We even have a goat named "Sparkles", and she is very pretty! And she is very friendly!
What do you like to do for fun? What games do you like to play? Do you like to draw or color or paint? Are you learning to read yet? If so, I can get you all sorts of fun things for you to explore and learn from, and I can help you if you have any trouble! Let me know what you like to do, and I will see to it that I try my best to get what you want!
Well, sweetie, I have to go now. I have to make supper for your brothers and sisters, and I will tell them that you say hello! God bless you always, and I hope to see you soon! Until then, may angels watch over you, and know that you have a family here in America that can't WAIT to see you and get to know you!
