Dear B.J.~
How are you this fine rainy morning? (Maybe it isn't raining there in Florida, but it sure is pouring buckets here; it is a day more suited for ducks! LOL) Hope this finds you well and happy, and hope this finds the severe weather out of the picture down there! That was a scary picture of the tornado you put on your letter; I hate storms, and I especially hate them when they go severe...glad we have a basement and safe room in our house; I don't know what we would do if we didn't have shelter to go to whenever it comes up a cloud...But tomorrow it is supposed to be much nicer, partly cloudy and cooler, and just in time for Easter too!
In lieu of your questions pertaining to Maine Coon cats, Maine Coons aren't related to Persians in any way. Oh, sure they both have long hair, but a Maine Coon's hair isn't nearly as long as a Persian's, and unlike a Persian, a Maine Coon's fur doesn't take nearly as much maintenance: just several times a week is all you need to keep your Maine Coon looking pretty and in top shape, and they are much easier to care for than a Persian. Maine Coons also have bushy, fluffy tails, but their fur is a lot softer in feel, and they love water, unlike a lot of cats. Maine Coon cats are very pleasant creatures, very large in size, with high, chirpy meows, and they are full of cheeps, trills, and purrs; and they make absolutely delightful companions. They get along with most animals (including dogs!), and they love most people if they are treated right. I will put a picture of my daughter's Maine Coon, "Cajun", in this letter; that way, you can see what a TRUE Maine Coon looks like. Enjoy! Anyway, I hope you find my answers to your questions helpful!
The kids are all fine, but Ronee' is trying to flare; yet she is bound and determined to try to make it to the Cantata. But I don't know if she is going to succeed: she is now in a great deal of pain, and she looks really uncomfortable. I hope she feels better soon; I hate it when she (or any of my kids, really!) get sick! Bill is fine, and he is still plugging away at Wal*Mart (he has been there for over two years now, and he loves his job!), and I am still plugging away at the hospital (although right now I am on part time, thanks to my recent surgery).
The kids are on their spring break now, they will return back to school next Thursday. They will definitely get a lot of playtime in during their Easter break (and will, no doubt, drive mamma and daddy crazy! LOL)! Speaking of kids, we get our two Miracle Children from Sri Lanka next week; they will probably be here by next weekend. They have been cleared to come to America, and soon, very soon, little Arjun and big sister Rani will be ours. I can't wait, and we will have to get the house in tip-top shape before they come! We are really excited, and it is an answer to prayer! We didn't expect to have them THIS soon! God is indeed good to our "little" family! :) I will tell you more about them next time I write!
Please keep Diane Aguilar in your prayers. She is my friend from Del Rio, Texas, that I write to. She wrote to me earlier this week, and she has informed me that she has been in treatment for brain cancer. She has the early stages, but she has lost all her hair and is now bald, and she is suffering from horrific mouth ulcers as a result of both the chemo and radiation treatments that she is now receiving. She also fell and broke her knee and is now hobbling around on crutches. She has really had a hard time lately, but she is trying her best to hang in there; still, be praying for her! She can really use a Miracle about now...She and her husband are raising six kids, all with disabilities, and they are really struggling, both physically and financially.
I also heard from my friend in Alaska, Jenna Aurora Doucet, who lives in Anchorage with her husband, Michael, and they are both well; they recently had the stomach flu, but they are now recovered, and they are trying to get their disaster of an apartment in order. She wrote me a really chatty letter yesterday, and it was a delight to hear from her again! I just love her! She is so sweet, and she is so cute, too! (So's her hubby! *Grins*)
I have yet to write to Eddie Greene, Anna Arnette King, Sikik Eegeesiak, Sari Gustaffssenn, and Phoebe Pearson; that is probably not all I have to write to. I am still waiting to hear from Greta Wagner, Kendra Williams, Louisa Mason, and Erin McConnell. Seems my mail is always runnin' away from me! LOL But I will try to get back to them as soon as I can get a moment's break (and with me, that comes about as often as a blue moon! LOL)!
