Dear Rebekkah Rachel~
Okay, let's try this AGAIN. I accidentally knocked myself off the 'buters, and I have to start this stupid thing all over again. So here goes...*Sighing heavily here*
As I was going to say in my last letter, I am doing better. I had a weak spell the other day, but it seems to have passed; but it still has me feeling a bit nervous. I never know when those things are gonna' hit, and I don't know if they are going to last. I already have this stupid Duchenne's; I don't need any more weak spells! I never know what each day will bring, in relation to my Duchenne's, and I HATE the fear and uncertainty that it brings!
But who is complaining? I have absolutely no right to do so; I have already lived seven years longer than doctors thought I would (they first thought I was going to kick the bucket by the time I reached five years old, but ha, I had the last laugh on them because I am STILL ALIVE! :) ), and I still can do SOME things for myself! I am not totally helpless, and I still can appreciate life and enjoy the heck out of it!
I am glad you are doing better. I also am glad you will be returning to dancing soon and that you are off the antibiotics. Those antibiotics are the WORST. I was on them when I had the flu, and it was like I was taking HORSE pills, coz they were so huge, and it was really fun trying to get them down my throat...NOT! I thought I was gonna' hack up a hairball because they were so hard to swallow, and they left a NASty aftertaste in my mouth! YUCK! It was all I could do to keep from ralphin' all over! My sister is in the hospital as you know (thanks for the good wishes and prayers for her; I am sure she will appreciate it; I know I do!), suffering from an arthritis flare; but she is now resting. We saw her earlier (we just got home; after we saw Ronee' at the hospital, we went out to Cotton Patch, which was a very good place to eat!), and she looked miserable, but by the time we left, she was sawin' logs, so we just looked at her and then left because our bellies were rumbling something fierce!
How is the weather there in Sacramento? Here it is sunny; we did have some storms a few days ago (which is why Ronee' has an arthritis flare in the first place; storms really play havoc with her achy breaky bod!), but I am happy to report that we had very little in the way of damage, and we missed out on getting the severe stuff. That went further on east. But my weather radio sure was getting a workout (as were the tornado sirens; those things have their own built-in "chill factor"!)! I never was so happy when the bad weather moved away from Nashville! (We could have very easily become SMASHville if we had had a lot of storm damage!) I hope the weather is good where you are at, Rebekkah!
It sounds like you had a good Easter. We did, other than the Monster gettin' sick on us and ending up in the hospital! And then you spring the news that you may come out this summer??...COOL!! I would LOVE to meet you, and I would love you to come stay with us! We'd make you feel at home, and we'd take good care of you! You would love my family; my family is COOL! We look just like a rainbow!
I was sorry to hear that Louisa Mason is in the hospital. That really makes me feel bad because she has this stuff too, and I am afraid that I will end up in the same boat! Tell her that I will be praying for her!
I am sorry if I mentioned about that Terri Schiavo, but I think the whole thing is pretty rotten. If her hubby loves her like he says he does, then WHY did he have an affair with another woman and had two kids by her? That isn't very smart! And he should be WITH her, not with this other woman! And I think she should be allowed to die if there is no hope of her ever having a good recovery; she has suffered enough these past 15 years now, with little or no improvement, and I am sorry, but I wouldn't want to be in that position! If I would ever end up like that (GOD FORBID!), I'd just as soon let 'em let me die; let me go on to Jesus, in Heaven; don't let me linger another minute! Last I heard, she was still hangin' on, but barely, and people were still raising a huge stink about it. I think the whole thing is stupid, actually! It should be up to GOD to decide whether Terri lives, NOT the judges or politicians! Or other people!
I am glad you got to meet Hope Williams; I bet the Williams family are having a ball with her! I have seen her picture, and she IS cute! We are getting our new Sri Lankan brother and sister later this week; they are due in sometime this weekend, and maman has been busting her butt getting the house whipped into shape! She is excited, and so are the rest of us; we can't WAIT until Arjun and Rani are with our family! This is going to be too cool!
Well, I am going to go; I have to use the potty, and I need to ring for help. If I don't go soon, there may be a flash flood warning for Nashville (and Davidson County) Tennessee...that would NOT be good AT all! So BYE! Write again soon; I'll be waiting for your next letter!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your pal in Tenn., Johnn-o. :D
(they first thought I was going to kick the bucket by the time I reached five years old, but ha, I had the last laugh on them because I am STILL ALIVE! :) ), and I still can do SOME things for myself! I am not totally helpless, and I still can appreciate life and enjoy the heck out of it!
The familiar lament of dual-career parents raising children is, "I just can't do it all." The Libra Solution provides an alternative - a more satisfying and sustainable work and life approach - to the overwrought modern day norm.
