Louisiana is dismayed to learn that one of her friends is in the hospital, and isn't doing at all good with her health, so she decides to write to her friend's husband and children, as a means of offering them support and encouragement.

Dear Jeff and Children~
I was thinking about you today, so I decided to take this time to write. Actually, I have been thinking about you for the past several days, ever since Kendra Williams took it upon herself to inform me that Louisa is in the hospital and isn't doing at all well with her health. What exactly is going on with her, and does it have anything to do with her muscular dystrophy? Or is it something more serious? I will call our pastor, Bruce Bilkey at Christ Community Assembly of God Church, and I will let him know what is going on with your wife and that she is in the hospital.
We are all well, but we are worried about Louisa; so the kids had me write to her (or you). I also have been very busy: we have our two new kids here now with us from Sri Lanka, and they are both keeping me hopping. (The little girl, Rani Kalpana, continually clings to me, chattering away at me in Sri Lankan, and I have NO clue as to what she is trying to tell me; and the baby, Arjun Ravi, is...well, a BABY, and you know how demanding babies are! LOL Oh, well! Still, I AM glad they are here; they are both adorable, and I know they will soon get used to having a new family! So now we have fifty-two kids, and I am running around, like a chicken with its head cut off! I am busy chasing kids from one end of the house to the other! LOL (This is NOT easy to do with a back brace or a walker! LOL) I recently had back surgery (hence the back brace and walker; I should be off them in a little under two weeks, thank GOD!!), and I am feeling much better. STILL have a LITTLE pain if I move wrong, but at least I am no longer having the pain in my legs, and it is so much easier for me to get around! Bill is well; he is working at his job at Wal*Mart, and he has been busy being Mr. Mom at times! My kids are well, too, but Ronee' was recently in the hospital herself (she had another arthritis flare; her JRA started acting up and rearing its ugly head on Easter Sunday, but she was determined to go to the Cantata, which she did, but then the next day, I took her to see her pediatrician, Dr. Emmons, and he admitted her into the hospital; she was in for a total of five days); she is now back home, and is just about over her flare. And my son Johnny and Barbara: they are going to Alaska; they are leaving tomorrow. They are going to Alaska for a week to visit my friend, Sikik Eegeesiak, who lives in Barrow, and they are beyond excited! I just know I am going to cry when I leave them at the gate and see them go!
Jeff, I am sorry you are having to be Mr. Mom to your children while your wife is in the hospital. When Kendra told me of her problems, I just cried! Maybe it is more than Becker's; I don't know, but I didn't think people with Beckers MD would have so many problems with their health! It sounds more like Duchenne's (although I KNOW it CAN'T be THAT!) or one of the other more serious types of MD. Or any of the other neuromuscular diseases that I have heard about. I just wish that there was something I could do to help you all while your wife is in the hospital, but I am here and you are there, and traveling that far costs money. I also have to save as much money as I can because next month Bill and I are going to Greece for a wedding, and we are also going to Louisiana for the annual Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge, and also to the CMA Country Music Festival in June here in Nashville (we go to both events every year), so any money we get is going to those three things. We also have money for the kids, and their expenses; so you know how that goes. I hope you understand. But we CAN pray for Louisa, and we CAN offer you our support and our comfort!
I am sure that Aerial is worried to death over her mommy, and wondering about whether she will end up like her. That has got to be so scary to a kid like her! I will keep her in my prayers as well! Give her a special hug from us, and tell her that we may write her a letter one of these days, just to let her know that we are thinking of her and are praying for her!
Well, I know this isn't much, but I wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you, the Masons, and that you are all in our prayers during your wife's latest health crisis. Please keep us informed as to what is going on with her, and please keep in touch. God bless you all, and know that we care for you all very much!
