Dearest Sari~
I am so sorry to learn that things are not going well for you physically as well as emotionally. Is there anything I can do or say to help make things a little easier for you?? I will be praying for you extra hard tonight, and I will continue to have my church family lift your name up in prayer!
I am happy to know that Nikolas is there, but I am sorry to hear that your fibromyalgia and your multiple sclerosis are giving you trouble. MS (as well as fibro) are very hard to deal with anyway, but it is especially more so for the newly diagnosed patient. I am happy to not have fibro OR MS, but I DO have degenerative osteoarthritis, and that is a royal pain (LITERALLY! LOL). I also have epilepsy and take medication every day to control my seizures (I have now been seizure-free nearly 11 years now, I am happy to say!), but I still take my meds every day, and I still have to be careful not to miss a dose. I also have short stature, and that can be hard to deal with because the world is NOT built for those who are smaller than the average person, and I have to make so many adaptations. Buying clothes is a major hassle, and so is reaching for items on shelves or just bending over to pick up things off the floor.
I was also sorry to learn of Ilsa's having breast cancer. That is one scary disease; and I hope (and pray) I (or any of my children) never get it! Please tell her that we will put her name on the prayer chain at Christ Community Assembly of God, and we will lift up HER name too!
I am happy to know the weather is warming up there; I hear you guys had a tough winter. I hope your summer is much nicer! Our weather is warming up too, and the snow and cold has since abandoned ship until the fall and winter months. So now we have to look forward to longer, warmer days and plentiful sunshine!
We are getting excited at coming to Greece for your wedding. It will be so good to see you and Nikolas again, and it will also be good to see Athena again! How is she doing? Please let me know! Tell her we say hello to her too!
Our kids are well, and Arjun (I noted that in your letter, you addressed him as "Cajun"; it isn't "Cajun"; it is "ARjun"!) and Rani are aDORable! They are starting to fit in, and they are both settling into their new home and family. Now, Rani doesn't sepeak much English, so trying to communicate with her IS a major challenge; but she is still a delightful child. Arjun is a good baby; he hardly ever cries, and he laughs a lot; and he has the chubbiest cheeks and the biggest dark eyes you can ever imagine! The children all have accepted both Arjun and Rani as their new brother and sister, and they fight over as to who will take care of them next! LOL
Johnny and Barbara are not here; they are in Alaska for a week; they are spending a week with my Inuit friend, Sikik Eegeesiak, and I am sure they are having a good time. I expect to hear from them sometime this evening. Until then, no news is good news, but I sure would love to know as to how Barbara and Johnny are doing up there in Alaska! Ronee' was in the hospital with an arthritis flare, but she is now better, and she is back to her normal self. She is enjoying school and is just enjoying life, PERIOD. I will tell them hello from you, too, okay??
Well, Sari, I know this isn't much, but the phone is ringing; maybe it is Bill or (hopefully!) Johnny and Barbara calling from Alaska! Take care, and write when you can!
