Dear Franklin, M'Kaya, and Family~
I was so happy to hear from you; I have been wondering about you guys...am sooo happy you are doing well, and am especially happy to learn of M'Kaya being "with child"! That is AWESOME!! How is little Stefan taking it, or is he too young to know that he is to become a big brother?? Oh, that is so exiting; I wish all the best for M'Kaya (and you!)!!
I hope you move back here to Tennessee; your mama really misses you (I hear from her on occasion; she doesn't write so much, but she does call me sometimes), and I bet the staff at NMH would love to see you again! They ask about you all the time, especially those in the therapy department! The therapy department is just not the same since you left!
I am doing well; you will be surprised when I tell you this, but we are now the proud parents of *52 children*! We added to our family a few weeks back; we adopted a boy, aged one year, and a five-year-old girl from Sri Lanka; and they are starting to fit into our family unit. Their names are Arjun Ravi and Rani Kalpana, and they are beautiful! I will send you a picture of them when we get some made; so be on the lookout for those! I also wanted to tell you that my third book, "The Miracles Continue: The Sandusky Family Story, A Sequel", has been accepted for publication; it will be out within the year, and I will have more book signings and author interviews in the coming months. So I will be busy, busy, busy in the months ahead!
Johnny and Ronee' are fine; Johnny and his sister, Barbara, are in Alaska as of this writing (they will be back sometime tomorrow; I can't wait; I have really missed them! They went to see my friend, Sikik Eegeesiak, who lives in Barrow), and they have been having a wonderful time. Ronee' is fine, too, and she is still singing; but lately she has been sick. She had a couple of arthritis flares; the last one put her into the hospital for five days, but she is now back to her normal self, and she is back in school and just enjoying life. She did sing on tv (okay, it was a TAPING, but she still did a taping for the show "America's Most Talented Kids" for PAX; it will be shown sometime this summer), and she did very well; she placed THIRD out of seven kids, and it was a close contest all the way. Only a few hundredths of a point seperated the top three contestants, one of them, of which, was Ronee', but she still had a great time, even though she didn't win. I will most certainly tell Johnny and Ronee' that you say hello! They will be glad to know you are asking about them!
M'Buti and Roberto are very busy: they now have six children. In January, M'Buti and Roberto became the parents to TRIPLET boys, and now they have five boys and one girl! That is probably why you haven't heard from them in so very long; but I will tell them to drop you a line! M'Buti is working part time for the Nashville Banner, and Roberto is still working in the burn ward at Nashville Mem. M'Buti has her good days and her bad days, but she is doing a lot better than she was. Roberto is still as wild and crazy as ever, but I think the role of father has somewhat tempered his wild ways; he isn't nearly as crazy as he once was. They still have their orange Hummer, and M'Buti is now driving; she has an orange Volkswagen Beetle, and she enjoys it very much. (She got the Bug last year for Christmas.)
I loved the picture of the sun shining between the Twin Towers; but I got sad thinking about what happened, and you are so right: New York City just ISN'T the same since September 11, 2001, happened, and I pray nothing of this magnitude never happens again on our shores! God help our people, and God bless our nation.....it isn't the same way as it was prior to 9-11, and I miss the way things were...and this war against terror; all too often, you hear of yet another American getting killed or kidnapped, and one never knows what is going to happen; and that is so scary!! I pray and hope this war ends soon, and I hope those responsible are quickly found, caught, and punished to the severest form of the law!!
How is the weather over there in the Big Apple? Here it is sunny, and I am gald the rains have moved on. We have had a pesky low hanging around these parts, and for a while, I thought Nashville was going to become another BAYOU!! LOL It is SOOO nice to get out and piddle around in the yard; today Bill did the grass, and I played in the flowers and planted some more veggies in our garden. The kids are now outside, and I can hear their happy shrieks and shouts as they play, and it is such a happy sound! They always seem so energized now that the weekend is here!
I will write more later; tomorrow we are picking up Johnny and Barbara at the airport, and then we are going to the Grand Ole Opry. We have tickets; and we haven't been there in quite a while. It will be nice to go to the Opry again; we always enjoy it!

How on earth you keep it all straight is still a mystery to me! I've never seen so many differnt names, places, etc everyone travelling busy bee's, it's incredible! Your talent is abundant!

Wow! You had plenty to tell those folks up New York way. I used to live in that crazy city. Loved it in those days, would probably hate it today.
