The pain I cannot stand I sit and write about. Having written, I would like to share with readers.  I’ve found an easy way to do this using the web site, AuthorsDen.com. I found this site as a result of joining Florida Writers Association.  The FWA members I met early used this site and I started using it February 1, 2005, by posting my poem “12-21”.

Later in the day I posted a poem I had just written, “Secret” and on February 5, 2005  I discovered that Google had already indexed “Secret.”  Henry Burt Stevens comes up first on Google, due to my business activity, and Google had already indexed my AuthorsDen web page but to my great surprise a third entry was for my poem “Secret.”  WOW. I started posting a poem daily, and some days a prose piece also.

As of this morning, March 5, 2005 I have over 6,000 page views to my site. That’s nice, but the real value to me is that readers post comments which both readers of the site see when they view a poem and I can see and review on my summary page.

Here’s my strongest review to date, for my poem, “Promise.”

It was felt in its totality by my "I"; soul, mind, flesh and Me. At one time, not so long ago, I wouldn't have understood or cared what you meant to say, but, in my now, I see this as an unparalled truth, and you've penned it in such a way as to delight and amaze me with your sense of mind and intuition.

Who wouldn’t be encouraged to receive this review a few hours after posting on the web site?

AuthorsDen.com has  four levels of membership, FREE, Bronze $4.99 USD quarterly, Silver $12.49 USD quarterly, and Gold $24.99 USD quarterly.

The site is exceptionally asy to navigate and use.  Posting material is a snap.  Yes, pictures, audio and video, all are welcome.  The site offers stats on all activities on the site.  This I find very valuable.  Which of my poems are doing best, worst?

One of the reasons I have lots of page view may be that I encourage readers to copy, email, repost and share any of the material on my site.  Perhaps that has added to my readership.  I hope so, because that’s my goal.  I’m interested to have folks read and comment on my work.
