Louisiana emails her California friend after Louisa Mason has emailed her. She is tickled pink to hear that Louisa is pregnant.

I was sooo happy to learn of your being pregnant! Congratulations!! Oh, I know you, Jeff, and the children must be WILD with joy!! Good for you!! You deserve to be happy; you have had it too rough for too long! Please keep us posted as to how your pregnancy is progressing, and let me know what you need in terms of "baby things"; we have lots of "gently-used" baby stuff we give to people whenever they need it!
It is so nice to hear from you, and it is great to know you are finally out of the hospital! So all of this "stuff" that you have been putting up with is because you are PREGNANT? WOW!! I sure hope your health improves; I have been praying for you, and so have our prayer warriors at Christ Community Assembly of God!
We are all well; and I think Johnny and Barbara are just about recovered from their trip to Alaska. They were in Barrow, Alaska, for a week; they visited my friend, Sikik Eegeesiak, who lives in Barrow, and they had a good time; but Johnny got a little homesick, poor baby! And Ronee' was recently sick herself, but she is all recovered from her latest flare, and she is now her happy self again. (She was in the hospital for five days. She went in on Monday, the day after Easter, and she got out on Saturday.) Speaking of kids, a good portion of them didn't have school today because it turned out that Eastview Elementary School building was "in the dark". Seems that there was a power failure, so the kids had to go home early. Bill called me at work, and he said that the kids were not at school for even a half hour before the school principal deemed the school closed for the day because of "electrical problems". So they have been at home since eight thirty this morning, and I am sure they had a good time. They also probably went back to bed! LOL
Johnny is doing well; it seems that his MD has "slowed", but we are waiting for the other shoe to drop and have some unexpected problem pop up. So far, his health has been quite stable, and we are hoping this continues. This is the longest he has gone without getting sick or having to need an ambulance. That is cute that Rebekkah Cohen has a crush on him; I don't know how JOHNNY feels about a girl liking him so much, but I think it is adorable! LOL
I do hope you can come to Tennessee sometime this summer. We would be more than happy to have you guys come, and we would be more than happy to show you around! We would even get Grand Ole Opry tickets for you guys (we can get group rate, plus Bill and I know people, so we have no problems in nabbing Opry tickets!), and show you some really good entertainment! That is neat that your girls and your hubby got to meet Vince Gill and Amy Grant; it's just too bad you had to miss out on all the fun because you were in the hospital! BUMMER!! Maybe when you come to Tennessee, we can take you to the Opry and you can get to go backstage, where you can meet some of the Opry legends and current superstars! Would you like that? Let us know!
We went to the Grand Ole Opry this past Saturday, and we saw Loretta Lynn, "Little" Jimmy Dickens, Jimmy C. Newman and "Cajun Country", Collin Raye, Joe Diffie, and others, and we really had a great time. It was a while since we were last at the Opry, and we heard some great country music! We will next go to the Opry next month (May, the week after Mother's Day); Ronee' is scheduled to appear there with Jimmy C. Newman, and of course, she is all excited about it! She loves to sing at the Opry, but she always gets so nervous beforehand! LOL We are also going to go to Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, for the annual Crawfish Festival; Ronee' is appearing there, too, and we go to the Crawfish Festival every year. It's part of "tradition" in our family. We are also going to the CMA Music Festival and Fair here in Nashville; we go there about every year too (but we missed last year, on account of storm damage to our house). Just let us know when you are planning on coming, and I will make the necessary arrangements in obtaining your Opry tickets! :)

P.S.: That is wonderful about Hope fitting in to Kendra's family; our two new kids, Arjun and Rani, are adjusting well too, but Rani still has her moments where she has bad dreams and gets scared. I guess it will take her a while because she went through such a trying experience, but I know with God's help she will make it! And that is too cool about her wanting to adopt a new child from Sri Lanka! (Were WE the inspiration behind THAT?? LOL) We will pray for her that she does get a child from Sri Lanka; that would be wonderful for her! She IS a good mama, and so are you!
Karen you sure know a lot about the Opry, among other things. How you keep all the info current is a mystery to me. You have a brain that never sleeps;-) Great write!

Both of your latest installments are terrific reads! Your characters are so realistic. I agree with Karla, you are a very prolific writer. I am in awe.
As soon as I review ONE story, there you are, posting another! I can't keep up!!!!!!!! Dang, you're prolific. And an excellent writer--I love the "hominess" to your stories. :) One gets comfortable in reading them. :) Well done!
