Bonjour, mon ami Cadjinne! Comment-ca vas, hein? J'suis tres bon, merci beaucoup!
It was a delight to get your letter; it sounds like you are doing well. I am sorry if I haven't responded to your last letter, but as you know, my life lately has been fraught with challenges, both good and bad, and any free time I DO get is very precious to me. I do my writing whenever I have some free time to spare; and that comes but very briefly. When you are the parent to fifty-two children, my life is often busier than most. LOL
I loved the picture of the bright-red crawfish on your letter. Makes me think of my bayou home; I sure do miss the Louisiana bayous and the cookin'! Speaking of crawfish, that is what we are having for supper tonight: crawfish etouffee' and salad, as well as home-made pommes frites (French fries) with seasoning and for dessert, apple pie. For the kids who don't LIKE crawfish, I am making them hamburgers, fixed to their choice. YUMM!! LOL I just done made myself hungry! LOL
We will be going to Louisiana in a few weeks, for the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival. We go every year, and we always enjoy ourselves emmensely. Have you ever made it there? If not, you should get an opportunity to go; if you like crawfish done to your tastes, or live Cajun music done by both the legends and the "new guns", or love to dance the Cajun two-step or waltz, then the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, is for you! They have carnival rides and games for the "kiddies", and everyone has a marvelous time! I have been going there since I was a child, and there have NOT been very many Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festivals that I have missed; and now my hubby and kids go with me as well! (Continuing the tradition, I guess! LOL) We already have our hotel rooms reserved, and we plan on having un "bon temps rouler"! AAAIIIEEE! :D
That is exciting that you may have a little boy in your future! I hope the adoption of little Esteban/Trevor goes through; I will most certainly pray for you on that! Congratulations! Keep us posted; I am ALL ears! LOL
And I am sorry to hear that you had to redo your garden on account of the storms you had there. That's terrible! But I AM glad your house wasn't severely damaged; so I guess you can count your blessings on that! That is one thing I DON'T miss about Louisiana: the storms! (We can get some mighty purty whizzbangers here, but at least here we have a place to go to if it gets nasty!) I hope the weather is much nicer there as of this writing! Here it is rainy, but not too much; it is supposed to clear later on and be bright and sunny (and warmer) for the weekend until Monday, when we have our next chance of rain, thanks to a cold front.
Thank you again for writing; it is good to hear from you! No, I am NOT mad at you; whatever gave you THAT hare-brained idea?? LOL I just have been busy! (Yes, I DO sleep at night, believe it or not! LOL) I do hope you forgive me for the long delay, but now at least you can say I finally WROTE!!

This was educational (Crawfish festivals, Louisiana cuisines) as well as very interesting. Your letters do not seem contrived, instead they have a definite genuine feel to them!
