Hiiiii!! Thank you so much for your e-mail all the way from Sacramento, Califor-nigh-ay! It is always great to hear from you, buddy! This is your Tennessee gal-pal, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux! Hope you are doing *MUCH* better; I am doing GREAT!! (But I DID find out something from my doctor: she says I will have to have surgery later this year on my hands and hips; she says they are in bad shape. GREAT. Just what I did NOT want to hear!! ARGGHHH!!)
My brother, Johnny, and my sissy, Barbara, got back from Alaska safe and sound, and Johnny got me an Alaska/Northern Lights sweatshirt; it is wine-colored, and it is reallly pretty! That was nice of him, wasn't it?? Of course, I can't wear it during the summers here, but I CAN wear it when the weather gets cooler or in the fall and winter! He said he had a great time in Alaska, but he was very homesick, and I don't think he liked it very much in Barrow. He said there wasn't all that much to do, and he says that the Inuit kids treated him funny, and he wasn't used to their way of talk or way of life. He tried some whale, walrus, and seal meat up there, and he said that they were all NASTY. he was saying he got to meet Sikik's family, and he got to meet her dad, Aqsamirq, who has cancer and is now in the hospital. Please keep Aqsamirq Eegeesiak in your prayers; I guess he is very sick and isn't doing well. Sikik is having a very bad time of it because she lost her mom not too long ago, and she is now having to deal with her daddy's having cancer. Thanks a bunch!
How is the weather there in Sacramento? Here, we had some heavy storms roll on through Nashville, but they have pushed on east, and it is supposed to clear on out of here later today and be cooler. We were in the 60's, but by the weekend, we are supposed to be in the fifties or so, so I can wear my new shirt that Johnny got for me in Alaska and break it in. We have had a lot of rain lately, and it's a wonder I haven't gotten webbed feet by now or start hopping around like a TOADIE! LOL
How have YOU been feeling since YOUR hospital stay? Hopefully your body has been behaving itself lately. I STILL say that must be AWFUL not to be able to feel pain! (Can we trade bodies? PLEEEEASE??? LOL)
That is great about Louisa Mason being pregnant; I hope all goes well for her and the baby! And as for Kendra adopting a girl from Sri Lanka, that is cool too! Good for them both! God is doing great things in their lives! And he is doing great things in my family's: our two Sri Lankan siblings, Rani and Arjun, are adjusting well (although Rani is STILL shy in nature!), and I love 'em both so much! I am getting used to having a baby around the house again, and Arjie is soooo cute!! And maman has her third book coming out within the year: the manuscript has been accepted for publishing, and the title of her third book will be "The Miracles Continue: The Sandusky Family Story, A Sequel". It will be out within six months to a year, and of course, maman will have author appearances at different bookstores, and she will no doubt be interviewed. I was when I had my book out last year, and it was very interesting, but at the same time, it was very intimidating; and I was scared to PIECES!!
Thank you for saying I should have won on "America's Most Talented Kids"; that is awfully sweet of you, but the kid who won was better, and I still had fun! I wish they had more stuff for kids on tv, I miss "Star Search," and I am too young to be on "American Idol". I wish they had an "American Idol JUNIOR" show on tv, like they used to, but I didn't like it nearly as much as "Star Search" or "America's Most Talented Kids"! I STILL could do pageants, but I don't do 'em any more, and I thought they were a pain; so I am glad I am out of the pageant scene. In the meantime, I still have my festivals and fairs, and I am happy just to get a chance to perform, PERIOD.
I am sorry you aren't sleeping well. I hope you get some shut-eye soon. I sleep pretty good most nights, but sometimes I flare or get sick, and then I am bright-eyed and bushy-tailed (or just so darn tired!!)! Or I get up early, early three mornings a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, I get up at THREE a.m., just so's I can have my bath--I am stiffer than stiff!--, eat and take my morning meds, get dressed, and be out the door and AT the hospital BY seven, so I can be in therapy BY seven-thirty!), and sometimes when I go to school after therapy, I am yawning my head off most of the day. Now we WERE off three days this week because Eastview Elementary had some significant power problems that cut the power to the school, so we got an unexpected break. We will go back Monday; mom called Principal Fairchild, and that was what he told her. He said the problems were fixed, but there were still some MINOR stuff going on, so school wouldn't reopen until Monday. So now I got another day off. *SIGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!*
Well, I will go now. I don't know what I am going to do to amuse myself today; but I may end up going outside and playing with my friends and neighbors, or just enjoy the clearing weather. By tonight it is supposed to be clear, and there is a meteor shower tonight, so I may look for meteors later.
