Dear Louie May in Tennessee~
Hi! Thank you so much for writing; it is most satisfying to hear from you again! I am still in the hospital, but my doctors think I will be out by next week, and then I can have my treatments done on an out-patient basis, which will be a lot better for me--and the kids and my honey! I am still feeling weak, but that's the price to pay with cancer; it takes so much out of you! Hopefully, I will beat this thing; I have done well so far (KNOCK ON WOOD!), and I pray that this trend continues. But I now have a nose hose in my nose because I am so sick from the chemo treatments; and I just am so nauseated a lot of the time!
As you can probably tell, this is Diane in Del Rio, Texas. The weather here is beautiful: sunny, with highs in the upper 80's; feels almost like summer! The kids are well, and so is my husband, but he has had to play "Mr. Mom" while I have been "incarcerated" in the hospital! LOL But he still brings the kids by when he comes and visits, so it's not like I DON'T see them AT all!
I am glad that Rani and Arjun are settling in at your place, but I am sure that they aren't used to the American food yet. But give them time; pretty soon, they will act like any old American kid! They sound absolutely wonderful, and I am happy that you adopted them from Sri Lanka! I would like to see a picture of them when you can get one done; I bet they are way past adorable!
Glad the Cantata went well, but sorry to hear that Ronee' was sick. Hopefully she is much better by the time you get this! As for Johnny and Barbara, that is wonderful that they got to go to Alaska for a week! WOW! Alaska. Wish I could go to Alaska; I'd love to see someplace different other than these flat Texas plains! (But here, we have the foothills from the Rockies; New Mexico is right next door, and they have some serious mountains in parts of the state! LOL) Have you been to Alaska? If so, you are soooo lucky! LOL I bet Alaska is BEAUTIFUL; it looks like it is, from what I have seen in pictures!
I heard y'all had some bad weather y'all's way yesterday. I hope you made it through the storms okay! I always get nervous when it storms; in the spring, we practically LIVE in our storm shelter! And we don't get NEARLY as much as does Amarillo or parts north and east! Let me know if you had some bad weather up there in Nashville, and let me know if you made it out okay!!
Well, this isn't much, but I have to have a transfusion; seems that my blood count is lower than normal, maybe that is one reason why I have been feeling so weak and rundown lately. The nurses are here to hook me up to the I.V. line, so I will go for now. Take care, and hopefully the next time I write, I will be out of the hospital! Sorry for making this so short, but you know how that goes...no rest for the weary, even when they are in the hospital! SHEESH! Just keep me in your prayers, that is all I ask! Thanks!
