Thank you so much for your delightful letter; I loved the picture of the happy children on the jungle gym! Were those some of your kids? If so, they look awfully happy and glad to be outside on such a sunny day! It is always good to hear from you again!
By now you should have already gone to Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, for the Crawfish Festival. We were going to go, but we couldn't get any rooms; when we called for hotel reservations, the hotels and motels around there were booked solid. So we had to miss out; made me so mad! How was it? Did Ronee' perform? How did she do? I hope she did great! How was the food and the dancing? I bet there were many people in attendance! Maybe next year we will get lucky and go....*SIGHHHH* We last went in 1990, 15 years ago, seems like ages ago...*more sighing...*
I want to tell you some very good news: the adoption of Esteban (Trevor) has been APPROVED; so we are going to be getting a little boy sometime in the coming months or year! We are so excited, and we have already made arrangements to get some boy's clothes, and have a nursery added! This is going to be so fun! And just in time for Mother's Day, too....what a MIRACLE! Thank you for your prayers; they really helped! We are already counting the days until Trevor will be with us! We will let you know when thad day is, and maybe one day we can have you come down to Louisiana, so you can meet him! Would you like that??
The weather here today is partly sunny out (or partly cloudy, if you are somewhat of a pessimist! LOL). The temps are delightful, highs in the 60's to 70's, and we are going to another Cajun festival this weekend. We go to something just about every weekend, it seems like; festival season is upon us full force here in Louisiana!
How is the weather there? Hope it is nice there; heard you have had some rough weather lately! Yes, we did have some damage from the last round of storms, but we got our garden in again, and now we are hopeful that something will come out of it! I'd much rather eat fresh, home-grown food than buy that processed crap! There's too many bad things in processed food, and I have never trusted it; I'd much rather eat at home than buy or go out!
It will be Mother's Day on Sunday. Are your children or husband planning anything special? I bet Mother's Day at your house (ANY holiday, really!) is something to behold! I still can't imagine being the parents of a whopping *FIFTY-TWO* children! WOW! That must be quite a sight when y'all go out in public! LOL We are going to take it easy (at least I am; the hubby and kids will be doing all the work for once! LOL), and I am going to enjoy myself! :)
