Cats have a distnict personality which make them appear human. Here's a story about a jazzy cat who thinks he really is human!

Pierre

No one can visualize the things that I, Pierre, have to do in a days work. I am no ordinary cat of a special home nor am I a slimy alley cat of disreputable tales. I am an actor and a policeman in the New York Bronx. Yes, my hours of labor are very long, too long for my liking. I have neither wife nor any children. There has been little time to diddy daddle around with the subject of settling down. Whew! I wouldn’t have time to be an actor….well that part comes natural for me. But tracking down criminals in the black of the night and having to wrestle down those stinky rodents can be pretty tiresome!

With only a few hours of sleep I get to the studio at eight o’clock in the morning. My gray fur is static stricken from all the tossing and turning that I do in those few hours that I manage to sleep. It doesn’t offend anyone because the character I play on this television show calls for a wild cat with fuzzy hair. So after my shower in the morning I just roll around in my blankets to get dried off and to add more static to my fur. A look at my self in the hall mirror before I leave, giggling to my self as I realize that I am still strikingly good looking for such an older dude! Just love my wardrobe…the same black and white stripped shirt with black pants. I even get to go barefooted! What more can a guy ask for!?

At the studio the female population seems to have this tendency to hug and coo over me. Sometimes it gets to be a bit rib breaking! Yes! I get squeezed so hard that my ribs feel as if they were fractured in a few places. Then they have to scratch my tummy to a point where it feels as if the wore all the fur off. I do check frequently to see if I have enough fur left for protection. Great! Time for work and no more female snoogies I jumped out of the managers arms so fast, she didn’t know what left her! I rushed to my position on stage and just strutted around to show off my great in shape body. I would hide behind the sofa; then pounce on the little girl on stage. She wouldn’t even scream because I was her favorite pet. I had to mention the word pet since there is more than one of us special characters on the show. Goldie is a golden stripped cat that just lies around napping and gets up occasionally to eat. And she’s a lot younger than I am to be so sedentary. Guess all women are like that! Well so far as I can see. The day goes fast as I chase the little girl around, jump on her and bite her dad on the ankle if he doesn’t pay any attention to me. The studio feeds me, so I never have to worry about fixing myself something to eat, that’s two big meals a day! By the time its wrap up time I need a nap. Nine hours of playing …well cating around, can wear a buddy out. I usually nap for about thirty to forty minutes then it’s time to go out to the real world and patrol the neighbor hood. And that my dear folk are for another day to tell.
