Dear Rosie~
Bonjour, mon ami! Merci beaucoup pour la lettre! Comment ca-vas, hein? J'suis tres bien, merci!
As you know, this is Louisiana in Nashville, Tennessee, writing, and I thank you for your email of yesterday. I loved the picture of the two little girls talking to each other; how precious! No, in lieu to your question, the picture of the kids on my letter were NOT of mine; it was something I found on the Internet, and I thought it was cute, so I decided to use it. I sometimes put pictures of my kids on my letters, but not always. Or I just send them by way of my digital camera to family and friends, or I do it the old fashioned way.
It was great to hear from you again, and I am glad you are doing well. I am also happy about the news that Esteban (Trevor) is going to be your son; how absolutely AWESOME! God is indeed good, isn't He?? What an answer to prayer, and just in time for Mother's Day too. Kinda' gives a whole new perspective on what it means to be a mama, hunh? I know you and Kenny must be overjoyed, and I know that Aurora and your other children must be tickled pink, too, to know that they are going to be getting a little brother! SUPER news; I am estatic and wildly happy for you guys!!
We had fun at the Crawfish Festival, and yes, Ronee' performed. She did a wonderful job (she sang on Saturday afternoon), and the crowd just loved her! But we are glad that it is overwith, and we are happy to be back home; traveling with fifty-two rambunctious little ones (and not so little ones, too, for that matter!) is no minor feat! LOL But we DID make it back in one piece, and now we can rest and I am back at work, and I can then look forward to going to Greece next week! I am going to Greece for a wedding, and Bill and I are getting really excited! We are leaving for Athens on Wednesday, and we will be back the following Tuesday; and then we can recuperate some more and then look forward to the CMA Music Festival here in Nashville (formerly called Fan Fair); we go there every year, and we always have a great time as a family! We also get to hear some wonderful music, and get to meet our favorite stars, and we enjoy the fun and frolic!
We did have a scare last week, involving one of our children: Johnny, our son who has muscular dystrophy, fell while attempting to get into his wheelchair (except that he MISSED the chair completely), and he ended up breaking his tailbone. He has been sitting on pillows, and he has been in a lot of pain, but he is starting to feel a LITTLE better. We had had some bad storms come through Nashville, and we were going to the storm shelter we have built inside our house when the accident occurred, and it was scary, especially when Johnny couldn't move his legs; but it was only because he was in so much pain, and he only fractured his tailbone, not his spine, thank goodness! He has since been able to move his legs, but his back and his behind are still quite sore, and things for him are uncomfortable at best.
I am sorry you missed out on the Crawfish Festival; maybe next year you can go. I have been lucky to have gone most of the times since I was but a mere child, and I am continuing the tradition with my own family, I guess. The food was great (as always), and the music was out of this world: Beausoleil, Belton Richard, Hunter Hayes, Lesa Cormier, Walter Mouton, and others were there, and there were quite a few new guns in Cajun there, too, including my own daughter, none other than Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux! There was much dancing, and there was much drinking, and there was much partyin', Cajun-style, going on; it was NUTS! But it was sooo much fun! AIIIEE! :D I even danced some, the first time I'd been able to in several years, and I was having a BALL! LOL It was sooo nice NOT to be in the pain I was in for so long; and I had a BLAST!
Yes, Rosie, I would LOVE to come to Louisiana to see your new boy, and to meet your hubby and other children! That would be great! Maybe you can come up here to Nashville, and I can let you meet MY brood! I think you would love it here; we would show you some Nashville-style fun and show you guys around! Nashville IS big, but it is a great place to live, and there is just so much to see and do!

Oh a broken tailbone is sore...I injured mine many years ago in Gymnastics....and I still suffer from it...cannot sit in one position for very long and both legs down...I must always pull on leg up or even sit on my one leg or foot...not lady like but who cares...lol!!
