Dear Louie~
Hello! This is Adriadne again. Thank you so much for the newsy, informative letter that you sent to me. It was much appreciated, and I thank you for taking the time to answer my questions and concerns. You sound like such a caring, compassionate person, and your family sounds beautiful! But I DO have a question: are the children jumping for joy in the picture some of yours? If so, they are absolutely beautiful!
I am doing okay, I am having a better day today. Ryan is sitting beside me, looking at me writing on the computer, and Brittyn is sleeping; she was up most of the night (she was up with the runs and vomiting; seems that she caught some virus), and so I have been taking care of her and keeping an eye on her. She seems to be doing okay at the moment, thank goodness. I still am upset that I slapped her the other day, but she was acting up, and I just couldn't handle her screaming any more, so I blew my stack and hit her.
How is the weather there in Tennessee? Here it is rainy and coolish, really miserable weather; and it's gotten me in a blue funk because I can't get out and look for work when it is so ugly out. So I am stuck inside with the kids. I wish I could find something to do, I hate being cooped up all the time! Hope the weather there is much nicer than it is here in Sitka!
I will try to look into the respite programs you listed, and I will also look into joining the adoption network and hopefully, I will make new friends. I guess I was feeling sorry for myself because I am a single adoptive parent trying to get by, and it's NOT been at ALL easy! I also was feeling sorry for myself because I still miss Fred with all my heart and soul, and I was shutting myself from the world. I'll let you know what transpires; stay tuned~
Do you mind if I ask you if I can have a copy of your book (or BOOKS)? I would like to read about your family and how your family came into being, and learn more about you. You sound like an angel, and you have done a wonderful thing by adopting children with special needs. That takes a lot of dedication and heart, and I am sure your special needs children appreciate all that you and Bill have done for them over the years. But I still can't imagine you having FIFTY-TWO children; you must live in a MANSION or a CASTLE! LOL I bet you have a VERY big house! LOL I would love to see a picture of "the whole gang"; I bet that would really be something!
Well, Louie, I know you must be getting ready to go to Greece, so I'll make this short. Until later, you have a very safe trip to and from Greece, and have a wonderful time! I really do envy you; you sure are so lucky to go to someplace like GREECE! God bless, and thanks again for writing! Write as soon as you can, and tell me all about your trip next time!
