Louisiana's newest friend in Arizona writes to her Tennessee friend after Louie has emailed her a "book of a letter" and sent her some surprise goodies by snail mail (which are currently on the way).

Dear Louisiana~
Ya teh hay! Thank you so very much for taking the time out of your busy life in writing back to me; it was a pleasant, if unexpected, surprise! Your letter cheered me up today; I was having a hard time of it, pain-wise, and Karla is still sick from her wacky blood sugar. And MeMaw fell; she did not hurt herself, but Karla was the only one who could help her back up on the bed, and I think we both got some added grey hairs!
Your letter was most encouraging, and it couldn't have come at a better time. Today was the one-year anniversary of Kurt's death, and I have been crying buckets of tears; God, how I miss him so! Why did he have to die in such a horrible, violent way; who are these monsters that call themselves human beings and kill innocent people? Thank god I have had Karla and MeMaw here, but the pain of his sudden death is still very real, and I sometimes with it were ME that died instead of him!
Thank you for telling me more about your family and your husband, and also your culture. You will have to send me a picture of yourself or your family. I would love to see how you look like! I bet you are beautiful; you have such a beautiful, caring spirit about you, so I know you must be a beautiful person on the outside! Your family sounds lovely, and on that note, please accept my condolences on the deaths of your three children! How very sad! I bet you must miss them almost as much as I do my Kurt, even though their deaths happened quite a long time ago! How old were your children when they died, or is that a painful subject?
That is wonderful that you have adopted children with special needs! Now I KNOW you are a beautiful spirit; may Father Earth and Mother Sky both bless you and your beautiful family! And you are helping other people become families; that is so very special! You are spreading your joyful and sweet spirit to others, and that is a quality that is to be respected and admired! We need more people like you on this planet!
I also thank you for your email addy (and snail addy), your phone number, and also your book (whenever I get it in the mail!). You don't have to go through all that trouble just for me! Many blessings are sure to come your way; you have pleased Father Earth and Mother Sky with your loving, compassion-filled spirit!
Do you know that this is the first time I have actually SMILED today? I am smiling now as I write this, yet tears sting my eyes, as I think of Kurt. I was thinking of putting a gun to my head, to kill myself, but maybe your god sent you to help me through my troubles, so thank your god for me. I think I will change my mind about ending my life; maybe even now I am hurting, maybe I WILL get better enough to learn to walk again, and maybe I can get out of this damned hospital! And who knows? I may go to school, so I can better my life (and the lives of my family), and even my people, the Hopis!
