Louisiana writes to her friend in Arizona after Wyndi Storm Piestala has emailed her back.
Thursday, May 26, 2005, almost four in the afternoon here~
Dear Wyndi~
Ya ta hay! Thank you so much for writing; I am glad you enjoyed my letter. Please accept my condolences on the anniversary of your husband's death; I wish I could be with you in person to offer you some encouragement, but since you are there in Arizona, and I am in Tennessee, I can be with you in spirit and offer my prayers up to Heaven for y'all!
I am sorry that your mother fell; that had to have been terrifying for both Karla and yourself! How is Karla feeling today? I pray and hope that she is feeling better today! But I AM glad that your mother was not hurt; that is a big blessing! It could have very easily been so much worse, but I thank God that it was not!
Is it still hot there in Arizona? Heard on the Weather Channel that there has been record-setting heat in the Southwest. Here, it is partly cloudy, we may have rain before the weekend, but hopefully it will be out of here by Memorial Day. We have some mighty big doin's planned, and I don't want our holiday plans to be rained out! That would be disasterous!
Honey, I wish I knew who these terrorists were, but I don't. All I DO know about them is that they are cowards, and that they will not get away for all the crimes they have done against humanity. As bad as things may seem now, God WILL see to it that these terrorists and their evil ways will be thwarted, and until they are, all we CAN do is hope and pray that they change. It can happen! I know it may seem quite strange for me to say that, but like it or not, these terrorists are people too, just like you and I, but somewhere along the way, they learned the wrong thing, and they got so hellbent and stubborn in their ways that they soon learned how to hate and not to love, and because of hate, their lives are nothing but full of misery and grief, and they figure, the more people they can hurt, the better. But good CAN come out of tragedy like September 11, 2001, and I believe that God will soon make a way for these terrorists to be punished for their sins if they don't repent. I am sorry about Kurt, but I also lost friends to terrorism (September 11, 2001), and I still cry when I think of all the horror that happened that unforgettable day; but I can't hold grudges, and I have since learned to forgive those bad people and pray for their souls. (I do, every day!)
As for my kids, the ones that died, their names were L'Cadia Marie-Antoinette (she was 16 days when she died; she was born very premature, and she died from meningitis when a baby in the same NICU nursery caught the bug, and since she was so small and so sick, she got it, and she died not long afterwards), Pierre' Armand (he died of sudden infant death syndrome when he was but six days old; I happened to be the one who found him in his crib, cold, blue, and lifeless; I shall never forget it as long as I shall live!), and Aron Jakob (he would have been four on the day he died; he got meningitis a week before his birthday, and on the day he was to have been four years old, he crashed, and later on that afternoon, he died despite resuscitative efforts and prayers). They would have been 17, 16, and 14 now had they lived. I still miss them so much even now; they are all buried at the same cemetary in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and whenever we are in Louisiana, in that part of the state, we always visit the kids' graves and pay our respects to them. It's the only right thing to do.
Honey, don't EVER think of ending your life! That isn't going to solve anything! If anything, that is only going to cause more problems for your mother and your daughter, and right now, they need you! And besides, if you kill yourself, remember this: you CAN'T come back; suicide is so....well, final..., and once you do it, that's IT. End of story. You have so much to live for, and you are a beautiful spirit; and the world would be such a sadder place without you! I am sorry you are having so many problems, but there are easier, better ways to deal with your grief! Talk to someone, or write, or put on some soothing music; anything to keep your mind busy, and to get your mind away from those suicidal tendencies. I have seen people commit suicide or attemt it (including my father and my one daughter), and it is NOT a pretty picture, but thank GOD they lived, and they got their heads back on straight! I will most certainly keep you in my prayers, but the most important thing to do is this: don't EVER think of ending your life; it just isn't worth all THAT pain, and you ARE somebody, and you ARE worth everything to those who love you...and to God!!
By now you should have gotten my package. In it you will find a copy of my first book, "A Family Made out of Miracles and Rainbows". I hope you enjoy it! I really felt the Lord's presence when I wrote it, and I firmly believe it was HE who gave me the words to write; I couldn't have done it by myself, no siree! I also sent you some pictures of the kiddos, and I sent you pictures of Bill, myself, and my daddy, who is near 80 now..and still kickin' (BARELY, but he is still kickin'! LOL). Enjoy all that I sent you; let me know what you think!
But back to what I was originally saying: PLEASE talk to someone about your feelings of worthlessness and suicide, and DON'T delay!! Your life is precious to all who know you, and suicide is NOT the way to solve any problems you may be experiencing! If anything, that is the easy way out, and it is NOT the way to deal with your problems because once you do it, that is IT. And you could have had a much better life had you lived; so I am pleading with you...DON'T do it!! GET HELP!!!!
Well, Wyndi, I will most certainly be lifting your name up in prayers, and I hope you seriously think about what I wrote in this letter to you. You are a SPECIAL human being, and you ARE somebody, and your life is VERY important, not only to the ones who love you, but to ME. I am not trying to preach to you, but I DO care about you, VERY MUCH SO, and I am concerned about you!
Many blessings to you and your family, and know that I love you with all my heart and soul, even though we haven't met face to face (yet)!
(((((((((HUGS))))))))) and much love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie Sandusky. :( >tears<
