Dear Tonya Michelle~
Hi! How are you? If anything, I am relieved! Yesterday, my daughter, Ronee', had hip replacement surgery (both hips), and my son, Johnathon, had some serious tests, to see how his muscular dystrophy is faring; and both Johnny and Ronee' are exhausted. I am happy to say that Ronee' sailed through her surgery just fine, without any complications whatsoever, and she still continues to be as stable as a rack even now. As for Johnny, I am waiting for his doctor now, so he can tell me what he found on his test results; and I hope (and pray) that it is nothing short of a miracle! I hope his muscular dystrophy isn't getting any worse; that would be the LAST thing he'd need in his life right now! I will let you know what transpires as soon as I find out anything, so be praying hard for me and Johnny! Stay tuned~
Yesterday was an incredibly long day: I was at the hospital all day, and I am STILL here now. I will be going home in an hour or so, so I can get something GOOD to eat and take a bath and change; I smell like a hospital, and I am about to go BATS! I will also be going home to take a nap; those couches have NOTHING on my comfortable bed at home!! I am so stiff and so sore it isn't funny AT all! I also miss Bill and the remaining kids, and I want to give them all hugs and kisses!!
Yes, it is true ...we ARE adopting another child...a little girl, aged eight, from Romania. Her name is Janica Kryzstina, and she has spina bifida. She is really cute, with short, dark brown hair, freckles on her cheeks and nose, and green eyes. If all goes weill, we should have little Janica in time for Christimas! What a wonderful Christmas prsent THAT would be!! So soon we will have *53* Miracle Children in our International Family! God has been so good to us it has been UNREAL!! We have already started the adoption proceedings in getting Janica, and so far, things are going well! I pray this continues!~
And my book is going well...okay, BOOKS! I now have three books out, and who knows? There may be more books in my future! I may write some more about my family and my experiences as a mother, or I may even do a children's book about international adoption, or write a Christian book for kids, or even another book about my experiences as a nurse...the possibilities are endless!
I hope the weather has settled by the time you get this; you sure have had a rough round of severe weather haven't you? I know how that goes...we had it last year, and it was NOT fun AT all! This year has proven to be MUCH nicer, but we have had a lot of rain; but it seems that the rains have moved on out (FINALLY!). Now it is partly sunny out, and it has been good to get out and work in the garden and in our yard! And the kids have enjoyed running about the yard and swimming and playing on their playground equipment! They have so much fire and energy, it wears ME out just WATCHING them play!
Are your children out of school now? Mine got out about two weeks ago, and they will be on vacation until after Labor Day. When do your children go back to school? Some places the kids go back in August, and I personally think that is way too early!
I watched an interesting program last night while here at the hospital: I was watching a program on the Health Channel about this family in Arkansas, the Duggins, who had 14 kids (ALL their own kids, NONE adopted), and the woman, Michelle, had another child, another boy! So now the Duggins have 10 boys and five girls! Hmmm...sounds almost like OUR family, except we are three times bigger than the Duggins, and our kids are ADOPTED! We could give the Duggins some healthy competition! LOL (I'd love to see Jim Bob and Michelle Duggins and their kids spend some time with US! LOL I wonder if they could survive being around a family like ours! LOL) So there ARE big families out there! (We just happen to be one of the biggest ones! LOL) I also watched a show (on the same channel) about a family who had septuplets, and that was quite interesting, too. I don't know what I would do if I had six babies at once...I'd probably end up shooting myself! LOL (NOT really, but I would be quite surprised...LOL)
Well, Tonya, this isn't much, but Ronee' is wanting something to drink, so I will go for now, so I can get it for her. I will write more later. Take care, and God bless you always! Do write soon!
