Ronee' writes from the hospital, where she is recovering from hip surgery. She had both of her hips replaced, and she is in a lot of pain and discomfort.

Hi, Journal~
I am not feeling too well, so if this isn't long, please do forgive me. I just had major surgery two days ago, and I am in a lot of pain. It feels like someone took a HUMMER and ran over my hips on a repeated basis, and I am NOT having an easy time! This pain is different than the arthritis pain I've lived with, but still...pain is pain, and I HURT. BADLY!
I am glad the surgery is behind me now (apparently I did GREAT, according to my doctors), but now I have physical therapy to look forward to, and when I start walking again, I will have to use a walker for a while before I can get back to my crutches because I will no doubt be stiff and quite sore. But I have used a walker before; that should really present no problem..it's the PAIN I am not looking forward to or the stretching exercises! OW!! (Makes me hurt just THINKING of it! :( )
Well, Johnny is gone...he went home just a bit ago, and so now I am alone again. He was my roomie, but all he did for the past two days was sleep, and he wasn't much fun. He did well on his tests too, I am very happy to say, but still...he was scared about the tests (and I don't blame him; some of those tests ARE quite painful, or so I hear!!). His muscular dystrophy is NOT getting any worse, but he isn't getting any better either, so the news wasn't as good as I would have liked.
Well, I am going to cut on out of here...I am hurting really bad, and I am getting sleepy all of a sudden; think the pain meds just kicked in...I am getting all loopy-headed...so I will go for now and take another nap. Seems that is all I have done since my surgery...SLEEP!! *YAWN*
