Ronee' just got out of the hospital. She is now home, where she is resting and still recovering from recent surgery. She is still in a lot of pain, but she is feeling better than she has been prior to the surgery.

Dear Journal~
Hi! This is your gal pal, Ronee'! I am HOME from the hospital; I just got out about two hours ago, and I just got home! I am sooo happy to be home! There's nothing worse than lying around in a hot, stuffy hospital room, as there is usually nothing to do, and besides, I never get any rest because someone's always needing my vital signs or some blood or something! It's MADDENING! Whoever says that you get rest in a hospital is a durn liar!!
I had surgery one week ago today, and I wasn't expected to be out of the hospital until at least Friday or Saturday, but I was doing so well, according to my doctors, that they decided to "spring me" from the hospital! I am sooo happy! :) I am still in a lot of pain and discomfort, but it is starten to lessen, and if I DO hurt more than usual, I still have my pain meds that they gave me at the hospital that I can take, and that should do the trick. I have been doing my therapy, and I am walking again, but I have to use my walker, and it's a pain. I'd much rather use my crutches, but I can't do that just yet until my hips heal some more. I have a walker I got back when I had my stroke at the age of eight, so it's not like I have never used one...still, a walker IS a pain in the REARRRR! LOL
Oh, boy...you ought to have seen my cat, "Cajun", when I came into the front door: she went absolutely NUTZ!! She started meowing and purring like crazy, and she was winding herself around my legs, just talking up a storm! She then flopped in front of me and started rolling and purring all the harder! She was acting all adorable! I sure missed my cat, and I know that she missed me too! She hasn't left my side since I got home, and she is still sitting by me, still purring loudly! Her little furry body is trembling, and she just looks soooo cute!
You also ought to have seen my brothers and my sisters when they saw me...they all screamed and hugged on me, but daddy and maman were warning them to be careful, as I just had surgery, and I probably was hurting; but I didn't mind, really. I was just glad to be home! :)
I am now in my room, lying on my bed, with my cat beside me, as I write this, and I am in a very good mood, even though I AM hurting. It feels like someone's been whamming my hips with a hammer over and over, but the pain isn't as bad as it was when I first woke up from surgery, and also the second day afterwards. That was the WORST! I thought I was going to DIE, it hurt so bad, but now the pain is STARTING to lessen (a LITTLE!), and each day that goes by, the pain will lessen, and pretty soon, I will be in NO pain at all, and that will be PURE-T heaven!! :)
I am also looking forward to going to church tonight, and I am looking forward to singing in the choir again. Of course, I will have to sit in my wheelchair, but that is okay...as long as I can make it to church, I will be happy! :)
Well, dear Journal, I am going to lie down..am getting sleepy. I had a VERY big morning, and I am TIRED! I will write more in here another day. Until then, this is Ronee' saying, "Toodles"! :)

cats can be good friends! I haven't seen mine since my son got home from college for the summer. she's camped out on his bed
great news for Ronee! I know from experience she is glad to be home. When are we ever going to hear from Dr. Wright? As long as you are making me wait, this had better be a very long story, I can really settle in for a good read!
