Dear Louie~
I was so happy to get your refreshing (if slightly newsy) letter; thank you so much for writing! I have been wondering about you, and I was wondering if you were angry with me for some remote reason; but from the sound of things, it appears that is not the case. I am so relieved! :)
My, Louie, you HAVE been a busy beaver, haven't you?? Adopted two kids from Sri Lanka, and you are getting ready to adopt ANOTHER one?? Louie, I still say you are CRAZZZZY!! LOL My kids are all well, and they are growing like weeds! They are learning new things every day, and it is exciting to watch them discover the world about them! Your daughter to be from Romania sounds lovely! Do you have a picture of her? If so, I'd love to see what she looks like!
The weather here has settled down somewhat; it is coolish, with temps in the 70's here, really delightful; but by the Fourth it is supposed to heat up here in the mountains. We are going to go to my mom's house, so she can see the gandbabies, and we are also going to go to the park later and watch the fireworks and hear the music. We are really looking forward to it! What are YOU guys doing for the Fourth of July? I hope and pray it is a safe affair for you and your beautiful rainbow family!
I really haven't done all that much, except take care of the kids and work with them on their schooling. My husband has been busy with his job, and it keeps him away from home so the only time I ever really SEE Paddy is on the weekends or on holidays! Are you and Bill still working? Do you have the Fourth of July off, or do you have to work? If you have to work, that would be such a bummer, especially if you had to miss the fireworks!
Well, I know this isn't much, but I am in the middle of making a roast for supper, and I don't want to burn it or set the place on fire. The Fourth is one of my favorite holidays! I spent one in the hospital and our nurses and medical assts. moved our beds so we could look out the windows and see the fireworks over Elliott Bay in Seattle. (earlier in the day I had my hubby bring in fried chicken and potato salad and cookies and drinks for all the folks who helped me.) What a great day to be alive!
