Dear Deidre~
Thank you for your letter; t'is good to hear from you again! But I was so sorry to learn of Raylee being so sick; I pray and hope that she is doing much better now! That picture of her in the PICU was rather upsetting; I am glad she pulled through both times! That is so scary when your child has a "Code Blue"...I know the terror of which you speak...I have had to deal with this myself, more than once, and there is nothing more upsetting to your parent than to see your child being worked on by a team of doctors and nurses, who are trying so hard to save their life...you think you are going to lose them, but somehow, by some unexplained Miracle, God intervenes, and the child's life is spared. Believe me, I know what it is like, and I wouldn't wish this on ANYONE!
I am glad you liked the picture of my daughter's kitty...she does keep her feet warm during the wintertime months, and she is such a sweetheart! Ronee' is fine; she is home from the hospital (it will be one week come Thursday!!), and she is now walking again (she is using a walker, but she IS up and walking!!). She is feeling better every day, but she is still in some pain and discomfort, and she has to take it easy until she is fully healed. That won't be for several months or so yet. As for Johnny, he had tests to see how his muscular dystrophy was progressing, and Miracle of Miracles, it HASN'T gotten ANY worse! Johnny is still holding his own, and his seizures are now under control as well...he hasn't had a seizure in MONTHS, and he's finally found a combination of medications to keep the seizures to a minimum! :) So that is a major answer to prayer! GLORY!! :)
We are all well; thank you for asking. We are getting ready to celebrate Independence Day...we are going to the annual "Fourth of July BLAST", which will be held at Centennial Park here in Nashville, and we are going to see the parade and enjoy the patriotic music and the fireworks! I hope you enjoy your Fourth of July, and I hope it is safe and fun for you guys! What are YOUR holiday plans?
I am glad you got to go to the Rib Festival in Memphis and see your daddy, but I am sorry to learn that he is ill. My daddy has his health problems, too, but he is a stubborn old coot, and he tries to keep going, even when his body rebels! I guess it's because of his Cajun pride; I don't know, but my daddy is one of the toughest guys out there! Nothing, not even recovering from things like HEART SURGERY, keeps him down for long, and when he IS down, he acts like an obstinate child! LOL I have to keep reminding Pepere' to slow down, or else he is going to KILL himself, but he never listens...*siggghhh* Whatever am I going to DO with him?? LOL
We have gone to the CMA Music Festival here in Nashville (and we are already making plans to go next year; we have already ordered our tickets for next year's festivities!), and we have gone to the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival in Louisiana; and Johnny and Barbara went to Alaska for a week back in April. And as you know we (Bill and myself) went to Greece for a wedding. Well, next year, so far we have a cruise to Alaska to look forward to (the entire Sandusky family is going!!), and we are going to the CMA Music Festival, as well as the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Fest., but as for what else, we will have to see what the year brings. I do hope you get to travel more than you have!
We are also expecting company from California sometime in the next week or so...my friend Kendra and her children (ALL girls, mind you; she just adopted her FIFTEENTH daughter from Sri Lanka; her name will be America Hope!) are coming, but as to WHEN, that hasn't been established as of yet. I expect to hear from her any time now!
Well, Deidre, I know this isn't much, but I have to get after Ronee'...she is trying to run on her walker, and I don't need her falling, especially since she recently had hip surgery! I swear, that child is going to be the DEATH of me!...LOL
