Louisiana writes to her friend, Erin McCabe, who lives in Pocatello, Idaho, after Erin has emailed her a letter.

Dear Erin~
Hi! I loved your letter; thanks for writing! It sounds like you guys are doing well too, and I am happy to know that! I loved the picture of the crysanthemamum (spelling? LOL) firework; that was pretty! We will probably see those, and we will see a lot more when we see the fireworks on the Fourth! We are going to Centennial Park for the annual "Fourth of July BLAST!" Celebration and Festival, and we are also going to see the city's Fourth of July parade, and we are going to have a picnic. Johnny is performing that day, but Ronee', for once, isn't. She will be in the parade, where she will be riding a float. She just had hip replacement surgery, so performing is out of the qusetion for her right now until her hips have healed. She is doing a lot better, but she is still in some pain and discomfort.
Yes, we ARE crazy for adopting two children from Sri Lanka, and now we are awaiting the arrival of yet another child, Janica Kryzstina, from Romania! She is a cutie; she has short, dark hair, green eyes, and freckles on her nose and cheeks, and she is eight years old. She has spina bifida, and she walks with the aid of Lofstrand crutches and leg braces (but does use a wheelchair for longer trips). She will be arriving within the next several months, and we are plumb tickled about it! We can't WAIT for Janica to join our family!! As for our Sri Lankan children, Arjun and Rani, they are both doing quite well, and we are so happy that they are a part of our International Family!!
Yes, Erin, Bill and myself ARE still working. Bill is at work now, and I am too (am on break; this is where I do a lot of my writing! LOL). We are both off on the Fourth of July (Bill worked last year on the Fourth, but he worked during the day; so he didn't miss the fireworks; he went in at six, and got off by two; but I was off; somehow, I got off July Fourth THIS year too! :) ), and we plan on enjoying it! Now, I AM off on Thanksgiving, but I work on Christmas Day; every year, I alternate. Last year, I had Christmas off, but I had to work on Thanksgiving. Sure, working on major holidays IS hard, but someone's got to do it!
I am glad your kids are doing well with their schooling. I had given thought of doing that myself (homeschooling my kids), but with my working so much, that wasn't feasible, so I had no choice BUT to put them into public schools. They ARE doing well, and I am happy to say that they have never really had a lick of trouble in school. At first, some kids DID tease them about their disabilities, but that was stopped right quick, and now the kids don't bother them. They have seen that they are just like them in a lot of ways, so the teasing has stopped, thank the Lord! They still do get picked on at times about their Christian faith, but they just ignore those who tease them and go on.
I am glad the weather is nice there. Here, it is rainy, but it is supposed to clear out later. It is just a little low pressure system traversing the area, but sunny skies are due to return by this evening, and it is supposed to be sunny (but warm) tomorrow here in Music City U.S.A. It is supposed to be nice through the holiday weekend, and it is supposed to be nice on July Fourth, so we don't have to worry about any rain canceling out the firework displays! :)
Well, Erin, I know this isn't much of a letter, but I have to get back to work; break is fixin' to end, and I have to clock back on and work until 2 or so. I will write more later; until then, take care, and God bless you and your family always!
