Louisiana writes another email, this time to her friend in Sitka, Alaska, Adriadne Kopell, after Adriadne has emailed her.

Dear Adriadne~
Hello! Thanks for writing; it was good to hear from you again! Sounds like things are going well for you; was happy to learn that you are adopting another little girl! Congratulations! Destinee Eileen...that is a pretty name! I hope you get her soon! I know you guys must be plumb excited! I know we are about Janica coming; but..you would think that after adopting so many children, this would get old after a while, but it never does! It's akin to having another baby...and in a way we ARE! We are still waiting for the doctor's reports about Janica, and as soon as she is given the "All Clear", Janica will then come to America, and she will then become OURS! OUR DAUGHTER!! :)
Speaking of Destinee, she sure is a cutie! I hope you got the picture of Janica that I enclosed in my last letter! Now you know what she looks like! Isn't she adorable??
I am glad the weather is settling down there. Here it is sunny and warm, but not too terribly so. The kids have been having fun swimming in the pool and just being outside, and they have since turned nut-brown from the sun (or, in Johnny and Michael's case, BRIGHT RED! LOL Steffi is another one who has trouble trying to get a tan; so she is pretty pink too! LOL). They are enjoying their summer vacation emmensely, but Ronee' isn't..she is still on the mend from her recent hip replacement surgery, so she is delegated to the house for now, and she is having a hard time not being able to play like her brothers and sisters. She IS getting better, and she IS walking (she is using a walker, but she IS walking!), but she is still pretty stiff and sore, and it is hard for her at times.
What are you doing for the Fourth of July? Bill and myself are off from our jobs, so we can have fun that day. We are going to the park here in Nashville, Centennial Park, and we will be attending the city's annual Fourth of July celebration, "Nashville Fourth of July BLAST!", and we will be having a picnic, watching the parade later in the day (my daughters Gemini and Ronee' are in the parade, as is my father, Armand), listening to the entertainment (Johnny will be part of the entertainment line-up), and of coures, watching the *~*~*FIREWORKS*~*~*! :) We are really looking forward to celebrating our Nation's Birthday with the kids and having FUN! :)
Adriadne, I hope you get the chance to come to Nashville. We'd welcome you with open arms, and we would be more than happy to share our attractions with you! I hope you get to come to the Opry! I know you would think you died and went to Heaven! LOL The Opry is something else (both at the original Opry House, the Ryman Auditorium, and the "new" Opry House at OpryMills--formerly Opryland U.S.A.--), and you are bound to hear some terrific country music, in addition to gospel, bluegrass, rockabilly, and even Cajun! Maybe one day your "Opry Dream" will come true ; all you have to do is hope and BELIEVE that it WILL come true ! :) We have been to the Grand Ole Opry so many times we have lost count, and we always enjoy it! Each time we've gone it's been a totally different adventure, and one never knows WHO might pop in at the Opry! :) And Ronee' has sung there, several times, and we have been so proud of her! :)
I also hope that you get to see Loretta Lynn in concert; she always puts on a terrific show, and we think that she is one of the BEST of the BEST in country music! She is very sweet in nature, and what you see on tv is exactly how she is in real life! That is NO act; Loretta Lynn is one of the NICEST people in country music!
I had to laugh when I read of Brittyn's "diaper escapades" and messing in her bed...oh, geez, what a mess! LOL I know how that is; I have a baby boy, and I also have a daughter, nearly 13, who isn't toilet-trained, and so diapers are still a very important necessity in our house! I sometimes have to clean up "poopy messes" too, and no matter how disgusting it may seem, I still do it, as they are my kids, and I would do ANYTHING for them, including cleaning up their poop! LOL I know it may not seem funny now, but one day, you'll look back on it and LAUGH. I know I have! LOL I have cleaned up some mighty disGUSTing messes in the past, and I can laugh about it now! LOL
