Dear Louie~
Hullo, hullo! So nice to hear from you again, thanks for writing! It's BEEN a while, hasn't it?? I am glad you are well; I am happy to hear that your surgery went well (now I can stop worrying! LOL), and I am happy to hear that your children Johnny and Ronee' are on the mend! I am also happy to know that Johnny and Barbara are still talking about their trip here to Alaska; well, I enjoyed having them, too! They are wonderful kids! But I was sorry to learn of Ronee' needing to have surgery! I am sure she isn't in as much pain now; is she walking again, or is she using her wheelchair?
I was so happy to learn that Jenna and Michael are back together! But you are so right: Jenna DOES need to stop thinking of only herself and stop feeling sorry for herself. She IS a very nice person, but she is stubborn and too self-centered, and that really bothers me. I guess if I were in her predicament, I'd probably be the same way, but people who only dwell on their problems depress me, and right now, I don't NEED that!
I am sorry about your friend Diane's death. Please DO accept my sympathy on that. My daddy lost his battle to cancer; that is why I haven't written. I still can't believe that Father is gone; but now he is with Mother, and now they are one with the Northern Lights; and whenever I see the Northern Lights, I cry, yet I am comforted, as I know that Mother and Father are keeping watch over me, and it makes me feel safe and secure. Father suffered horribly with the cancer, and maybe his death IS a blessing in disquise, but I still miss him most terribly! So do my brothers and sisters!
The weather here is cool, and raining, but it is supposed to turn sunnier out later. We will have a chance at seeing the Lights tonight; maybe I will send you a picture of them if that is what you would like. The tundra has greened up, and the flowers have set the landscape on fire; and it is breathtaking to look at all the different colors! But alas...the summers never last long here in the Arctic! Pretty soon, it will be getting colder, and by September, the first flakes of snow will be flying; and the snow sticks around until at least June or July. I hope the weather there is good on the mainland!
Congratulations on the adoption of your Sri Lankan children, Arjun and Rani; that is wonderful news! I am also happy to learn that you are adding yet another child to your family! That is super!! And I am happy to know that Kendra Williams, your California friend, is adopting as well! My, lots of adoptions going on in your part of the world! Has Kendra gotten her child yet? Let me know; I am all ears!
I am happy to know that your book is doing well, and I am happy to know that there is a sequel! I will have to get my little mitts on it and read it! LOL Are you planning on writing any more books? Maybe I ought to do something like that...my life is boring at best! LOL
I am also happy to know that your adoption community is thriving. That is so good to know that you have friends who share a common bond. I would adopt myself, but I am afraid that I am too old, and besides, it takes a hearty soul to stomach these brutal Arctic temperatures (not to mention, the Inuit lifestyle!)! LOL
Well, Louie, I am going to shut off the computer; it looks like rain, and I can hear the sky talking (thunder). I'd best get off before I turn into Baked Alaska! LOL I will write more later; until next time, my friend, take care, and may the spirits bless you and your Northern Lights family!
