A pastor writes to a member of his congregation who is hurting.

Dear Louisiana~
I will be more than happy to pray for you and also your friend, Kendra Williams, in California. She sure is facing a battle, isn't she? But you and I both know that God can indeed handle ALL problems, no matter how significant (or unsurmountable) they may appear. All we have to do is cry out to Him, and He WILL respond! He may not do it when WE want, but He WILL be responding to your need..and THAT is a GUARANTEED promise! While I appreciate the gesture in your contacting me regarding this matter, wouldn't it have been easier had you prayed about it YOURSELF instead of requiring my services?? HMMM??? (Just a thought, here...)
I was most heartbroken to have heard from you. For a minute, I thought it was a member of your family who was in dire need, but I am relieved to know that it is not. Still, you ARE hurting, and you are in need of help. You have come to the right place, and I know how to get directly in contact with the One Above who can perform miracles when one least expects!
You will have to send me Kendra's address (email if she has one or a physical address, or even her phone number)..I would love to get a chance to talk to her..offer her some hope and encouragement. You are a very good friend to have so much compassion for someone else; the Love of Christ is indeed evident in your compassionate spirit, and the Lord God smiles down upon you today!
I will be sending Kendra some literature about finding hope in the darkest of times when I get her address, and I will also be sending her some devotionals and some other supplies that she may find useful during this difficult time in her life. I do hope that if she comes here to Tennessee she will be WELCOME to come to Christ Community Assembly of God; we would most indeed make her feel like she is a member of the family! Does she have a church there in California?
Thank you, Louisiana, for bringing this matter to my immediate attention. I will get in contact with our prayer team, and we will flood the Gates of Heaven with our desperate cries of help! God bless you, Sister, and thank you again for telling me about Kendra!

P.S.: Please keep the dear people of London, England, in your prayers: terrorists struck there today, and up to fifty people are presumed dead, with hundreds more injured. Please, also, keep the United States in prayer!

All Louisiana has to do is call on the Name of the Lord HERSELF, and He will hear her; she doesn't need a pastor to pray for her. Of course, it doesn't HURT letting others join in a prayer chain....but Louie can make the calls herself, right? Yep. :) Like He answered our prayer today, for help...WOW, WHATTA MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!!! :) *Thank you, Lord!*
