Louisiana answers a desperate woman's cry for help after she reveals that she may be getting abused by her husband. She is worried for her safety--and the safety of her three children, all girls, one, of which, is seriously physically disabled.

Dear Audrey~
Now you have me really worried. I read your latest letter (plus I heard from Kendra Williams, my friend in California, who just told me that your husband smashed your computer), and I am honestly scared for your welfare, as well as the welfare of your daughters.
You need to get away from Jack..and the sooner, the better. Your life--as well as the lives of your daughters--is/are in danger. Your husband might say that he is providing for you and the kids, but if he is beating on you, then something is definitely NOT right. If I were you, I'd call the police, so you can have a restraining order put upon your husband. Or I'd go to someone's house, be it your parents' house, or the house of someone that you may trust, or better yet, find a shelter for abuse victims. DON'T go alone--take your kids WITH you, and make sure that they stay WITH you as much as possible! Your husband sounds like a deranged animal, and it sounds like he definitely has an anger problem; and he seems to be a classic abuser.
If I were in your situation, Audrey, I probably wouldn't be so nice to your husband. I mean, a woman can take only so much before she snaps. I would tell him EXACTLY how I felt about his treatment of me and tell him that if he does NOT change his ways, then he will be WITHOUT me and the kids! I may be tiny in size--I AM under four feet and ten inches tall, you know--, but I am NOT afraid to speak my mind, and--I CAN fight back--and I WILL. Just ask my husband, my kids, OR my employers or co-workers--I have been known to tackle a man three times my size or weight, and--I won. So don't tell me that just because I am tiny I CAN'T defend myself because I CAN! They have seen my Cajun temper in action, and it is NOT a pretty sight AT all!
Please write or call me and let me know what in the hell is going on! Please let me know that you got out safely! You are most definitely in my prayers and thoughts!
