Dear Journal~
I don't like how things are going. My maman, Louisiana, is having a bad time of it lately, and she seems to be very distressed about something; and it is scaring me.
It seems that maman got a letter from a woman in Mississippi yesterday on her emails, and ever since, maman has been acting all weird. She seems upset about something, and whenever I ask her what is wrong, she bites my head off and shoos me away, like I am some kind of pesky fly or something. Usually, she and I can talk about anything (as any good mother and daughter should), but she is acting secretive, and now I am worried.
I just don't like being kept in the dark about this; but I do hope that whatever is bothering maman ends soon because I don't like seeing her like this!
