I appreciate your offer to care for Audrey and her children. She has a long road to recovery ahead of her, six months to a year at least. Let me tell you a little about her injuries. They are quite extensive. Audrey has a concussion, dislocated right shoulder, most of her ribs are broken and her left lung was puncutured, requiring surgery. She also has damage to her internal organs. The ovaries and uterus were so damaged a complete hystectomy. In preforming the surgery it was discovered she was carrying a child, which miscarried in the attack. This has been a hard thing for Audrey to cope with, since she always wanted to carry a baby. This dream has been totally destroyed of course.

What Audrey needs right now the most is someone who can come and take care of her and the children while she recouperates. Would you be able to make such arragements? I would imagine it will be 2-4 weeks in the hospital and then 2-3 more before she could travel. I got the impression from Audrey Mrs. Sanduskey would be better suited for this task.  If you can come, Social Services would arrange transprotation.

I appreciate your offer to help her to overcome her husband. I do not think after this incident he is going to be much of a will problem. Everything I have heard is he will be charged with attempted murder on Monday and should be going away for a very long time. Audrey is still going to need alot of support and assistance in starting her life over. I think moving as far from Mississippi as she can get is the best that can be done.
