Dear Mrs. Sandusky,

Since writing to you the situation has been remedied. Another friend of Audrey's (Lousia Mason) wrote me and we have worked out the details for Naomi Cohen to come and care for Audrey. The girl(except for Susan, who is currently hospitalized due to a stress related illness). are on a plane to California through out Audrey's recovery. When Audrey is able to travel she and Susan will go to California to be with her other children.

Audrey was not injuried in a car accident. She was nearly beaten to death by her husband when he found out she was planning to leave him. Her injuries are extensive. She recieved a concussion, dislocated shoulder,most all of her ribs were broken. One lung was puncuntured, requiring surgery. Her recovery is going to take from 6 months to a year. This hospital stay is expected to be 6-8 weeks.

If you would be able, I am sure Audrey would apprecitate a visit you. She does not seem to have many friends. Her husband did a very good job of isloating her and the children.

I will do my best to keep you updated on Audrey's condition.
