One of Louisiana Sandusky's kids writes to Susie Jackson in Mississippi, who is in the hospital, along with her mother. She heard about the situation, and she is very unhappy about it, so she tries to befriend the girl by writing to her.

Dear Susie~
My name is Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux, and I am Louisiana Sandusky's daughter. I was adopted by her and her husband, Bill, when I was a baby, and they are the only family I have ever known. I also have a ton of brothers and sisters, and we love each other very much.
I heard about you from my maman, and she has been very upset and crying; and it has me all worried and scared. I wish I could take away some of your hurt, but I can't, so all I CAN do right now is pray for you. What your daddy did to you and your sisters (and your mama) was very mean, and he should not be around you if he is going to act like such a jerk!! I wish he would be punished because what he did was NOT love; it was pure hate!! Or stupidity! (Take your pick!) Would you like that, for me to pray for you? I will pray for your sisters, Lacey and Maria, and your maman, too.
To tell you a bit about myself, I am 12 1/2 years old, and I have long, black hair, black eyes, and have dark skin. I was born in Louisiana, and I am a Cajun. I am disabled because of JRA (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis), and I use forearm crutches in order to walk and wear braces on my legs. I sometimes use a wheelchair, but I mostly use my crutches. I recently had hip surgery (this was my second surgery; I had surgery on my knee last year), and it has been rough, but I AM feeling much better now and can get around a lot easier.
I am going to be in the seventh grade when school starts back up in the fall, and I can't wait! I LOVE school! I also love to sing (I want to be a singer when I get bigger; my favorite singer is Loretta Lynn; I LOVE country music!), and I can play music on several different instruments (steel guitar, piano, organ, guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, Cajun accordion). I love to go swimming, write poems and stories (I even wrote a book about my life last year, so I am a published author!), hang out with my friends and gab on the phone, and travel. I also love to draw and paint, and I love to watch tv and go to church. I sing in the church choir at my church, Christ Community Assembly of God, and I go to church every week; and I just LOVE it!
Are you a Christian? If not, I will pray for you. I will pray for you anyway because you don't have many friends and you are going through a very bad time now. I am so sorry! I wish there was something I could do, but I can start by being a friend to you and writing to you, to show you that I love you and that I care for you and what is going on in your life!
Well, Susie, I will write more again soon. You try to take care of yourself and your mama, and I hope you both feel better soon! I know being in the hospital is rotten; I have been there! BELIEVE me, I HAVE! Even have the tee-shirt and the hospital bracelets! LOL
