Dear Louisa,

This is Deb writing again. I assume you have received Audrey’s letter by now. I hate to see things come to this, but maybe the family split apart but maybe this is for the better. Those girls needs a stable, secure home and frankly, I don’t think Audrey will ever be able to provide it. I am hoping to make the transition as easy as possible. Actually, the reason I am writing you today is I wanted to tell you Susie and I will be flying out to California in the morning. I have already found an adoptive home for all three, and I will be dropping by to pick up Lacey and Maria tomorrow afternoon in order to get them into the new home as soon as possible. Please have all their things packed and waiting when I get there. I don’t want to miss the opportunity to place them while it is there. Their new parents don’t have any other children and are eager to start a family. I know they will be loved and well cared for in this home. I am sure parting with these girls is going to be very hard on you, but this really is for the best. I know you would love to take them in, but you are already quite occupied as it is. Well I will close for now. I need to pack for the trip. I will be picking Susie up from the Cohens at eight AM. Our flight leaves at nine thirty. Should be to your house around three PM.
