Louisiana, feeling under the weather and taking a much needed break from her job at the hospital writes to Jenna and lets her know what is going on in her life.
Friday, July 22, 2005, 10:04 a.m., C.D.T.~

Dear Jenna~

Hello! I am so happy to have heard from you; your letter brightened my day! Thanks so much for writing!

I am so glad you are doing much better; good for you! However, I am not: I have taken a "sabbatical" if you will, from my job at the hospital (seems I have been working too much, and it has started to effect my health, plus I am dealing with a friend's impending suicide; and now is not the best time, emotionally, for me; plus we are getting ready to adopt another girl, Janica Kryzstina, from Romania, and I want to be there for her when she DOES come sometime next month!), and I have not been at all well. I have been suffering from horrendous migraine headaches that have threatened to knock me on my tail, and I have been nauseated and shaky, plus I have been snapping at my husband and my kids; and it really has me concerned; so be praying for me. I could really use them now.

I am glad that Michael and you are still going to counseling; maybe that is what I need to do, so I can get rid of some of this excess "garbage" that has plagued me as of late. I am afraid that I have been a pure-t B-I-T-C-H lately, which is soo unlike me! I also owe the stupid cuss jar at least $100-120 because I have said "The Big One" (G.D.) several times, and now I have to explain my actions to the Lord and repent for my verbal transgressions. I have been talking a lot to my pastor from my church, Pastor Bruce Bilkey, and he was surprised to have heard of my admitting to my cursing because unless I am so mad I see red, I am NOT known for having a filthy mouth! I was before I became saved and accepted Christ into my heart, but that is an entirely different story altogether, and now I have given up cussing. Now I have seemed to have fallen back on my old ways, and I have to try to make amends with The Holy One, and it is NOT going to be easy! I also owe my kids and my husband a big apology for being so grouchy lately. So as you can see life for me lately has been a joy..NOT! LOL

Jenna, I know you can't picture me cursing or losing my cool, but that is how it has been lately, and I seem to be heading towards a nervous breakdown, so this is why I took some much needed time from work so I can rest and collect myself before I return to work sometime in the fall. The hospital won't fall down because I am not there; they can survive without me for a little while! I put Roberto Sormiento and Genevieve Voisin in charge, and now they are running the show while I am here, recuperating.

Jenna, I loved your description of Michael snoring; that was funny! You have a way with words; you ought to consider writing a book! I am sure there are people who would love to read your writing; you are talented at writing, and I think you could do it! Sure, writing a book IS intimidating at first (especially if your manuscript gets rejected), but once you DO have a book out, it gets easier and easier, and more books may be in my innement future. Now that I am home, maybe I can devote more time to my writing (mainly when the kids are in bed! LOL). There may be more books in my future, my muse has been working overtime lately, it seems!

Yes, it has finally stopped raining here, but we do have pop up showers and thundershowers, but at least it is no longer an all-day affair, thank goodness; we do have clear mornings and evenings, especially when the sun sets, and it is nice! ('Course, the maringuoins are out in full force, but they can be handled with mosquito spray and repellents!) I am looking forward to seeing the Northern Lights again; hopefully they will visit us soon! :)

Well, Jenna, I was surprised to hear that you are thinking of going to school. That is super! If that is what you want to do, I say GO FOR IT! I have complete faith in you, Jenna!

I am happy to say that Ronee' is all over her flares, and Johnny is continuing to hold his own. No seizures to speak of, thank goodness. I will most certainly tell them that you say hello and that you were thinking of them; they will be glad to hear that you asked about them! They will be starting junior high school (seventh grade) in September, and it scares me because they are both growing so fast! It seems like only yesterday when I was changing their diapers and feeding them their bottles; now they are nearly teenagers, and they are starting to get the teenage attitude at times, especially Ronee'! She can have a mouth on her that doesn't quit! LOL The other kids are well, too, and they are getting excited about Janica's coming next month! They have already claimed her as their new sister, and they can't WAIT for her to get here! I am sure that they will get along great once Janica gets used to us and having a family! Arjun and Rani, our Sri Lankan Miracles, have settled in beautifully now, and they are acting like typical "American" kids!

Well, Jenna, I will go now; Jodie is calling me, she says she did a stinky, which can only mean one thing. DIAPER TIME! LOL I will write to you again soon; just keep me in your prayers is all I ask! Thanks!

God bless you, and love and (((HUGS))) to you both! I miss you guys!

~As always, your Tennessee friend, Louie May. :)
