Dear Diary,

I am beginning to think no one even remembers us anymore. I keep praying for someone to go digging, some of the people we have met over the past couple of weeks wanting to come check on us. Now I am starting to see no one really cared in the first place. It seems like if they did, someone would want to see how we were doing in our new home. That makes me mad. We have been totally abandoned! I did not expect Mama to try to check on us, she needs to get on with her life. She might ask about us through Deb, but all she will hear is a load of lies. Deb would never tell her the truth.

 I don't think we are going to have a miracle. No one is going to find us. For some reason, I feel like this is all my fault. Maybe if I had been a better daugther, Mama would not have felt like she could no longer care for us. I also wonder if Maria had not lashed out at Keisha if they would still be staying with her. I think that drove Mama to give us up, along with her not being able to break through to me after she was attacked.

I need to go, I hear the door opening. I guess that means more torture is on the way. I will write again when I can.
