Hello! So happy to hear that you are doing well, and that the kids are keeping you busy. Well, they are keeping this little Cajun maman on her toes as well; seems that every few minutes one of them is asking for something (or needing something)...*Sighhhhh* LOL But I wouldn't trade none of this for all the money in the world!
I am thrilled to know that Susie, Maria, and Lacey are with you guys; how wonderful! I am sorry that they are not doing well, but if there is anyone that can help them through their trauma, it's you. You are a very good mother, and you are so blessed to have so many lovely daughters! Speaking of daughters, I am happy to know that Jeff and Louisa Mason are going to be the parents to TWINS!! How wonderful!~ God is indeed working in that precious family's lives, as He is in YOURS and OURS! I thank you for the congratulatory wishes for Janica; she is starting to fit in, and I am sure that once she gets over the initial fears and shyness, she will be okay! She is still a pretty little girl, and she is such a sweet-natured child! We are indeed blessed to have her in our home--and hearts!
I will tell Ronee' that Susie is with you; she will be happy to know that she is okay (well, NOT okay, but okay in a physical sense; at least she is SAFE, as are her sisters!)! That is a huge answer to prayer! Ronee' has been a bundle of nerves; she is starting junior high school next month, in just a few short weeks, and she is scared that the kids will make fun of her because of her obvious physical disabilities or that they won't like her. I told her that she worries too much and that she is just being silly; but the feelings ARE real for the child who is experiencing them! Please keep Ronee' in your prayers; she could really use some peace of mind now!
My other kids are doing well; Johnny is still plugging away, and his disease is still on an even keel (not getting worse, thank GOD, but not getting any better, either). He is looking forward to school, and I am glad that he is doing so much better academically! It's like he is an entirely different boy altogether, quite unlike the scared, angry, struggling little boy of the past! School used to be such torture for him; now to Johnny school equals FUN, and he is finally overcoming his learning disabilities! That is an answer to prayer too!
You will have to tell me about that "man in your life" next time...does he go to your church, and what is his name? Is he cute? I am so happy for you, Kendra; it seems as though things are finally starting to come together for y'all, and I couldn't be any happier for you than I am right now!
How is the weather there in Soulsbysville? Here it is hot, but it is supposed to cool to the lower 80's by next week. That will feel so good after weeks of heat and humidity (and the threat of rain)! That is another thing we Nashvillians have had to put up with: RAIN! We have had more than our share, and it seems that we have to cut our grass every other day, it has been growing so rapidly! LOL And with the high cost of gas, filling the lawnmower has proven to be a daunting task (as has filling up our own vehicles!)!~ I am having to put money aside, just so we can have enough for GAS!! YIKES! I will be sooooo glad when the gas prices start going DOWN!! The high cost of gas now is way past REDICULOUS!! I hope the weather (and the cost of gasoline) is a lot better there than it has been HERE as of late!
We are looking forward to seeing that new show "Three Wishes" on NBC, which Amy Grant is hosting. Is that Soulsbysville, or is that anyplace near you? You said earlier that they were taping for a show there, and you went to the taping. If so, we will have to look for you guys on tv, and I can say I know some TV stars! *grins* That looks like something I'd be very interested in watching! I also look forward to the new season of "America's Most Talented Kids", and I am also looking forward to the new season of "Extreme Home Makeovers", especially since I nominated Wyndi Piestala, my Native American friend in Arizona; she and her daughter, Karla, have really struggled, and they deserve to have something nice happen to them! And their residence is nothing but a shambles; it is falling apart, and it is so hard for Wyndi to get in and out of in her wheelchair! (But *SSSHHH* Do NOT tell them, or do NOT tell anyone; this is TOP SECRET, and it is between YOU and MYSELF *ONLY*!! *GRINS*) Maybe they will feature Wyndi sometime during the season; that would be so wonderful to see that unfold on tv! And I can then say I had a direct part in that, and I would feel soooo very good! :)
Have you heard anything from Naomi, David, or Rebekkah Cohen? I have been following the sad situation in the Gaza strip, and I can't help to wonder what they must feel about this. They must be devastated! That is so darned sad; my heart goes out to the Jewish people in Israel! I will most certainly be praying for them..and ALL my Jewish friends! What do you think about this? I think it is a travesty and a shame!! Please tell the Cohens to write; it's been a while since Ronee' (or us) have heard from them!!
Well, Kendra, I will have to go for now; I have to make the kids their lunches; I can hear little bellies rumbling from across the room! LOL Plus they have been announcing that they are starving!
