It has now been 23 long years since our family lost Bobby. And yet, it seems like only yesterday. We still think of him daily. We always will. Does it ever get any easier with someone who has been taken in such a manner? I don't know. And now a sad footnote to this. Bobby's sister, Tammy, has lost her husband, Bill, in the same manner. A drunk driver took Bill the day after his 45th birthday. It continues to be something quite unbelievable. Yes, September is always a sad time for our family. We are sad, but we are also happy and grateful we got to have Bobby for 19 years. It would have been wonderful to have seen him find love, marry, have his own children, and so on. It's hard to know what kind of a life he would have had. We can only guess.
