Dear Louie~
It sure sounds like you have your hands full. I am glad you got back from Mississippi safely, but it sounds bad down there, from the descriptions in your letter. I am so sorry you had to see so much in the way of heartbreak! I can understand the helplessness you must have felt in dealing with those poor people! But I AM glad that the lady you mentioned is doing better, and I am glad that she will have a place to stay when she gets out of the hospital. I know she will appreciate all that you are trying to do for her!
And your kids sound like they are growing up into nice young men and women. Seems funny at how rapidly kids grow up nowadays...and how fast they seem to be developing, especially the girls! Scary!! Tell them all that I say hello, and tell them to behave! Or I will deal with them when I come down there! LOL I will lower the boom on them! I may not have any kids myself, but my brothers and sisters do, and I know how to deal with them whenever they do come to visit me! LOL
Have you returned to work yet since coming back to Mississippi? I bet your co-workers were more than happy to see you back! Is the hospital still standing? LOL I am sure that they took care of things while you were away!
I went to the hospital last week for tests, and I am still waiting for the results. They did an MRI, a CT-scan, an electromyogram (THAT was PAINFUL! OW!!), and a spinal tap (that did NOT feel too good either! OW!), and as of today, the doctor hasn't called me with the results; but I expect to hear from him sometime this week. I will keep you posted as to what he says. But he still suspects that I may have multiple sclerosis or something similar. I am still having problems with my vision at times, and my balance is still off. I guess I will have to wait and see what he is going to do once he DOES get the results of the findings from all my tests. But I WILL tell you this: I am scared!! Please keep me in your prayers!!
How is the weather there in Tennessee? Is it starting to cool off there, now that fall is knocking on the door? Here, temps are in the fifties and lows are in the thirties, and we have already had some of the first snow flurries at night. There is a definite chill in the air here, and it is a sure sign that winter is surely on her way!! I hear it has been ungodly hot there; I hope it cools off soon! Just be glad you aren't in Texas; it's in the 100's there..and in SEPTEMBER, yet!! CRAZY weather!! SHEESH!!
Well, I know this isn't that long of a letter, but my vision is bothering me again, so I have to lie down, as I am getting dizzy from the double vision and the headaches. I will write again soon when I am feeling better (or at least until my eyes behave themselves, that is!). I will let you know as soon as possible as to what the doc says about my test results; stay tuned!~ Take care, and blessings to you and your beautiful family!
