Dear B.J.~
I am happy to inform you that my sisters Arizona and Florida are SAFE. They are here in Nashville: they got in yesterday evening, and they are both staying (with their families) at a Motel 6 not far from where we live. We are expecting them anytime, so this will be very brief.
I thank you for your prayers for my sisters; I know they will surely appreciate them! I know I do! I am just glad they got to Tennessee in one piece; I just hope their homes back in Texas share the same fate...that hurricane is still a good-sized monster, but it is starting to show signs of weakening on the western flank, and it may weaken even further. I pray that is the case. Anyway, I am glad they are here and not THERE! I wouldn't want to be there when a Cat-5 hurricane is bearing down; oh, no!! Andrew was MORE than enough!! (We were in Louisiana when Andrew hit, and that was beyond scary!!! I still have bad dreams about it from time to time!!) I am just grateful none of us were killed; it could have very easily been so much worse!
Well, I have to run; I think my sisters are here..."Cajun Gold" is barking up a storm, and I hear the door bell ringing, so I have to go. I will write more later; stay tuned!

Karen, My thoughts and prayers are with yu both and of course all of Texas. Weeing the traffic and the airport etc It's just staggering what can happen.Please takr care, I know your far from the brunt, but you will get wind and rain, so do what you know is best for shelter. Wonderful write, hope you and pray don't lose electricity.
