Watch for politicians who go bump, in the night!
(Fictional humor)

Jesse just finished sweeping up the corridor. The voting polls were closed for the day, and he was glad to sweep up his last chad to empty into the dustbin.

While walking toward the broom closet, heard a noise coming from behind voting curtain number 13. It was an excruciating sound that literally made the hairs in his ears and nose coil like a really bad perm.

Jesse laid down his broom and dustpan against the wall. He turned cautiously, knowing the entire time that no one would hear him call for help should he be faced with the source of the menacing sound.

Then he heard it again. . . . "Grrrrrrr."

Jesse wiped the sweat from his forehead. His heart was pounding like a Supreme Court gavel pounding wood in a gay marriage decision. He stood motionless, unable to move his feet.

Jesse reaches for his cell phone. "Blast! No signal. I knew I should have paid T-mobile during my lunch break!"

So he takes his cell phone, hoping to use it as a weapon against the ungodly beast behind Curtain 13 that was responsible for breathing out such a bone chilling. . . .

"Grrrrrrrrrowl!"

It was louder than ever. And since Jesse already cast his vote at 6 a.m. that morning, he figured he had nothing to lose. He would face this beast head on, regardless if he lost his life.

It was the least he could do for his precinct.

"God bless America", Jesse screamed, and ripped the curtain off of its rod. What he witnessed was a most unbelievable site. . . .

It was a laid off worker waiting for Jesse to leave so he could raid the trashbin for leftover sandwiches.

Moral: Sure it was a silly ending, but remember, never let an American's stomach growl when others overseas are growling at our freedoms that they'd rather toss in the dustbin.

The other lesson in this story, had it truly been a monster in the voting booth, like the CIA, then all I could say to Jesse is "RUN JESSE RUN!"

P.S. (You'd have to know about Jesse Jackson's bid for president in the 80s to appreciate that one. Yeah, I'm old. You wanna make somethin' of it?)
