Dear Eddie~
I do hope that Aurora's heart is doing better; that is always scary when a child falls ill unexpectedly! Did she have to go to the hospital? If so, how long was she in the hospital? Please tell her that I hope she is feeling better, and that we are praying for her!
I know all too well about having to call for an ambulance, on account of my own kids. I can't recall HOW many times a kid of mine has fallen ill or has gotten involved in some type of accident, and it is always a disconcerting sight to a parent to see their child gasping for breath or bleeding uncontrollably. It is most definitely a parent's worst nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on ANYONE! But that is the price you pay for being a parent. Kids are going to get sick or hurt, no matter HOW hard you try to protect them! Kids are naturally curious creatures, and sometimes their natural curiosity will get them into trouble, serious trouble, and when it does, then it is our part and our duty as parents to act upon that if our child is to have ANY chance to survive!
But let's get on to more pleasant topics...Hallowe'en is just three days away, and our kids are busy looking forward to tricks-and-treats. They have just about decided what they are going to be for Hallowe'en. For example, my son, Johnny, has decided that he is going to be a hobo, while Ronee', my daughter, is going as country music superstar, Loretta Lynn. My daughter, Jodie, is going to be a princess while my son, Andre', is going to be an android or some other alien space creature. My newest daughter, Janica, is going to be Ariel from "The Little Mermaid", and my son, Benjie, is going to be Pinocchio while his brother, Sergei, is going to be Geppetto (or however you spell it! LOL). What are your kids going to be for Hallowe'en? We are going to our church's Harvest Festival and Celebration; we really don't have a true Hallowe'en celebration, so there won't be many witches or ghosts or other goblin-y types of costume; and some of the costumes that people come up with are quite clever. We enjoy Hallow'en, but we don't go for the creepy side of the holiday. Still, it IS fun for the kids when they get treats and get to dress up and act silly! It also provides plenty of good, clean, shivery fun for us grownups, too! :)
Well, I am at work as I do this, and it is about time for me to go onto my lunch break, so I will go for now while I can get something to eat in the hospital cafeteria. I will write again another time, and I do hope that your kids manage to stay well! Give them all my love, and God bless you always! Have a SPOOK-tacular Hallowe'en, and don't let the witches get cha! (Grins!)

I will write about the Grand Ole Opry's Birthday Celebration next time. We went to the Opry last weekend, and also the weekend before, and we had a marvelous time!! :) We just LOVE the Grand Ole Opry!! :)
Harvest festivals are such fun. I love looking at the harvest of the country dwellers near me. A lot of hard work goes into all of it.
