Dear Louisiana Mayrah~
Hey there! Thanks for your happy letter; it is so nice to hear from you again! I am happy for your daughter's engagement; what exciting news! Who's the lucky fella'? I hope that they will have a long and happy marriage! And YOU going on a CRUISE to ALASKA?? You lucky duck, you!! I would give ANYTHING to go on a cruise, but Kip is a landlubber; he gets sick on even the smallest boat! He can't handle the rocking motion on ships or even boats; he gets so violently ill! How neat that your work has rewarded you and your family with this cruise! WOW!! I am jealous now....GRRR! LOL (If you don't mind, do you mind if you have a stowaway on board, namely ME?? LOL) When are you going on this said Alaskan cruise, and are all of you going, or is it just you and Bill? Anyway, it would be a perfect opportunity to get away from all your children! :)
I am glad you had a good Christmas; it sounds like the kids sure did. Good for them! My kids had a good Christmas too, but it would have been a whole lot nicer had Bethlehem been home with us instead of recovering in a hospital!! But she is still improving day by day, and I am counting the days to where she can go to rehab and have her therapy; then she will be home FOR GOOD!! We canNOT wait!!
Yes, it is sad about those miners who died in that explosion, and that sole miner still fighting for his life. I pray he makes it! I also am sad about Israel's prime minister, Ariel Sharon, having that massive sttroke and now he is fighting for HIS life, too! Such sad goings on in the news today; it's no wonder I hate to watch it! And all that continuing bloodshed in Iraq--I don't EVEN want to discuss THAT! Let's get our boys OUT of there and get them HOME where they belong!! Let those people deal with the insurgents on their OWN instead of having more of our boys killed!!
How is the weather there in Nashville? Here it is partly cloudy out; we may get some rain later on tonight or tomorrow. I hope the weather is good there where you are at!! Meanwhile, California is getting more storms, and Texas and Oklahome still remain dry as a bone. Gad, what CRAZY weather the country is having nowadays!!
Well, this isn't much, but Kip and myself are going to get ready to go to the hospital, so we can see Bethlehem and have lunch there. We will write again; I will tell Bethie that you are praying for her, and I am sure that she will appreciate it very much! I know we do!
