Sari and Nikolas share some exciting news with Louisiana. She also shares some news concerning a neighbor's child who has died in a house fire a few houses away from hers.

Dear Louisiana~
Hai! Miitu kuuluu? Kiitos hyvaas!
This is your friends in Finland, Sari and Nikolas! It was sooo wonderful to be able to come to America and spend Christmas with you guys! You all look great, and it was a joy meeting little Arjun, Janica, and Rani! What dear, precious children!! And your other children--my, but they are ALL getting SO BIG!! I hardly recognized Ronee'; she looks like a young lady, and she is getting to be so pretty! And Johnny: he certainly has gotten big too, and it was so good to see him bursting with renewed health! I am so happy for them both! :) As for Bill, he was a charmer (as always!!), and your grandchildren are darling, too! You surely are the proud grandmama to your babies! :) I just don't know how you can raise such a large family, but you do it all so very well! I am indeed astonished by your capabilities as a mama! :)
Speaking of motherhood, Nikolas and I have some exciting news to share. I am PREGNANT!! I found out just after I got back to Finland, and that explained why I had been feeling sick most mornings as of late. I am about a month and a half pregnant, and Nikolas and I could NOT be any happier!! I had always wanted to have children, and now it looks as though this wish is about to come true ! I am so happy I could just CRY!! :) Nikolas has been bragging to his coworkers about the news, and they are happy and excited for us, too! :) So it is a happy time in the Constantinos household! :) I just hope my health holds out!! :) Just keep me in your prayers; that is all I ask! :)
I am glad you enjoyed my explaining about the Finnish Christmas traditions. It is something I have lived with all my life, and Nikolas was like a little boy when I told him of the traditions, and he enjoyed all the good Finnish food and the celebratory music and lights! :) Maybe one day he will tell you about HIS Greek traditions when it comes to Christmas! :)
How is the weather there? Have you had any of the terrible fires? I hope and pray not. I have been hearing about all the fires in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, and it has me scared. I am also worried about your military men and women in Iraq; so many of them have died! How awful for those poor families; I feel so sorry for them, and I feel sorry for your President!! He sure has his hands full, doesn't he??
I am also worried about the Prime Minister in Israel having that stroke. He is getting better, according to the latest reports, but he may have permanent damage to his brain and body. I pray and hope not! I just wonder what is going to happen to the Israeli people and who will be found to take over the duties of Ariel Sharon! He was a good man, and I pray that he makes it through his illness!
I have been crying a lot too because a neighbor's child has died. She died in a house fire. It happened just a few days ago, and the lights/sirens from all the fire engines woke me up; and when I looked out the window, I saw that the Magnussen's house was on fire, and there was poor Agda crying and screaming, saying that her little Esme was in there, and that she was trapped. It was a very scary and upsetting time, and all I could do was pray. Then I later saw the fire fighter bringing out her little body, and she was NOT moving. She looked dead, and it upset me when the fire fighter started pushing on her little chest and started breathing into her mouth and nose. I later heard that she had died, and all I could do then was cry. I have been crying since. I just feel so bad for Agda; it was her only child, and she was a single mother. Now she has nobody, and I don't know what is going to happen to her. She is staying with another neighbor until all the mess/damage can be cleaned up and the house can be repaired to liveable conditions again.
I heard from my friend Ilsa Rekkonen, and she may come by to see me. I hope so; it's been a while since I last saw her, and it would help me in my time of grief for little Esme Magnussen. I also am worried that something may happen and I may lose my baby; it doesn't help hearing bad news like the fire or all the worldly news that is so bad nowadays! I need to hear some GOOD news for once, and I need to get away from here! I am going stir crazy!!
Well, Louie, that is about all that is new here. I will write more later. I am going to lie down; I am starting to feel a little unsteady on my feet, and my eyes are starting to bother me too. Darned old MS is nothing but a PAIN!! I HATE it!!
