Dear Journal~

Hi! This is your friend, Johnny! I am doing good today; I am sitting here in Study Hall, trying not to look bored! LOL School is still going well for me, and I still have been feeling pretty good, in relation to my health. No unexpected surprises in that department! :) But my sissie, Ronee', has had some good news come her way: she no longer needs the oxygen (LUCKY!), and she is walking with two canes instead of with her Lofstrands. So she is flying high in more ways than one, and I am frankly a tad jealous of her because I will not get any better unless God sees to it. With muscular dystrophy, more than likely, you get WORSE, NOT better. So all I can do is pray and hope that my strength and my abilities to get around hold up as long as possible.

I watched "American Idol" last night, and it was horrid! Only 12 people out of thousands who auditioned made it to Hollywood, and most of the singers they  had on there were terrible! It was all I could do to keep from throwing up, and some of the notes that the singers hit made my hearing aids squeal; so I ended up turning them off, which was a blessing in disguise because I no longer had to LISTEN to all that awful squalling around on the television! And Ronee' and maman both looked like they ate some lemons or were in serious pain! LOL It was pretty interesting, to say the very least! LOL

Okay. Let's see what else is new. Oh, yeah. The President spoke last night, and I tried to listen to his speech, but I thought it was pretty boring, and I ended up going to bed before he got done speaking. I know he talked for at least an hour or so; he sure has had a lot on his mind lately, what with the war in Iraq, the threat of nuclear bombs in Iran, the problems with the border situation, the inflation of gas and oil prices, the serious lack of health care for the poor and elderly (as well as the disabled), the high costs of medical care, the fighting among the Democrats and Republicans, the anti-war people, and so on. He has NOT had an easy year, and I really feel sorry for him. I don't think I could ever be president of the United States!

My brothrs and sisters are also doing well, and I am really getting to fall in love with Arjun, Rani, and Janica. Janica is shy, but she is a sweet child, and she is really getting around well on her crutches (she has spina bifida), and Arjun is your typical baby. He is into everything, and he is discovering the world about him, and he is getting cuter and cuter with each passing day! As for Rani, she is improving with her own therapies, and she is talking better, too. Dwerlina is engaged to be married this year to a Cajun fellow named Andre' Fonteneaux, and we are going on an ALASKAN CRUISE come October (TWO weeks!!); I canNOT wait!! :) Maman got a free cruise from her work at the hospital, and this year, we ALL are going!! So it is going to be a fun cruise for ALL us Sanduskys! :) (I only hope that the cruise people can handle us! LOL)

Well, I will go for now; study hall is fixing to end, and I have to get ready to go to my next class, which is History (BOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRING!!). I will write in here again soon; take care, and God bless!
