Jambo! Habari gani? M'zuri sana, asante sana!
This is your firend, M'Buti Ayala Moore-Sorminnto, writing. I am sorry for not witing in here sooner, but when you are the mama of six actively and growing kids, time is severely constrained for me. I am the proud mama of six children, five boys and one girl, who range in age from eight-and-one-half down to just a year old. My children's names are Jubaki (the eldest), twins Eshe' (my only daughter) and Kibarake (four), and the triplets (Kenji, Keloki, and Koji), who are just over a year old. They turned one year old on the 22 of last month, so they are a year and a week old.
I am also pregnant. I found out last week from going to the doctor's after I complained of dizziness, nausea, and feeling shaky; and I am still reeling from the shock of it all. I am pregnant with yet another child, and as you can imagine, Roberto (he's my husband), is THRILLED! So is Jubaki; he can't believe that I am going to have another baby! Roberto, although thrilled, is teasing me: since the first one was one, the second pregancy was two kids, and the third, triplets--oh, GAD!! Does this mean that I am going to have QUADRUPLETS next??? If so, then I will have 10 kids!! AGGGHHHH!!! (Sems that I am cathcing up with my friend Louie Sandusky at this rate and will soon have a belly that will stretch from Tennessee all the way to Kenya, Africa!! LOL)
I am working now at the Nashville Banner (a local newspaper; I am the receptionist; have worked there several years now), and I will have to take maternity/medical leave when my belly starts to show (being thin, that won't take long!! LOL). Then I will be spoiled by my boss and my co-workers and also my friends, and I will be trying to hide from people's wanting to help me. I do love people, but when people are being especially supporive, I tend to get overwhelmed, and I always end up crying.
My health has been pretty good, but I have been having problems with my low blood pressure, and I have been nauseaous and feeling dizzy, and so this is why I have had to go to the doctor. As a result, the checkup turned up a very unexpected surprise! I have had to go back to using my wheelchair exclusively, because when I am on my crutches, I get dizzy (especially in the morning or if I get up too quickly, and I am at risk of having a bad fall). So I am using my chair again, and it has helped, but my arms and shoulders have been so sore! I forget how much of a workout I get when I am using my wheelchair!
Well, this is about it for now. I will wite in here soon if something comes up. Until later, this is your Kenyan Maasai friend, M'Buti, saying Kwaheri!
~M'Buti (pregaant again! I feel like Loretta Lynn must have felt when she was pregnant with her twins. You know that song, "One's On The Way"? Well, that is ME! LOL).
