Dear Donna Sue~

Hullo! So glad to hear from you again; I am sitting here, drinking a cup of Cajun coffee and enjoying my family. The kids are getting ready to go to bed; tomorrow is school, and they have to be in bed by 9:30 (the younger kids) and 10:00 (the older kids). Then Bill and I are not far behind; we are both usually in bed by 11 or 11:30.

I was sorry to hear of your neighbor, Miss Ellie, fell and broke her hip. That is awful that she had to lie there in severe pain so long! I am glad that someone found her and called for help for her. I pray she makes it! It is always scary when an elderly person gets into trouble, especially if there isn' tanyone around that they know that can help them, and it is scary when an elderly person is unable to care for themselves. Sure, putting them in assistant living or daycare (or God forbid, a nursing home or hospital!) is probably one of the hardest (if not most painful) decisions a loved one can make, but sometimes this is the only way, and all one can do then is pray that they have the means to pay for the care for their elderly loved ones or that the facility in question is a good one. I, thankfully, have never come to this decision for my own dying mother (or my father, who is still living; he is in his later 70's now and is haivng some health issues now), but so many other people HAVE, and I have heard far too many horror stories regarding insufficient care on the staff's part, neglect/abuse of the elderly patients, etc., and it is always heartbreaking at best. I will keep her in prayer if you so wish; please let me know her full name and the nature of her problems, and I will be putting her on the prayer list at church, no problemo!

I am glad that Bethlehem is out of the regular hospital. That is terrific news! I hope she does well during her rehabilitation, and I hope that she adjusts to her situation. Please continue to keep me informed about her progress at the rehab hospital; I am ALL ears! :) Give her a hug for me, okay? Thanks! :)

I also did laundry earlier in the day, and this was anothre reason I took a bath because I sure stunk, worse than a SKUNK! LOL I smelled AWFUL! PEEYEWW! LOL And then Jodie had a bowel movement to END all bowel movements, and she stunk up the entire house, and so I had to do HER clothes too! She looked mighty proud of herself as I changed her, but oooh, WEE!! What a STINK! POO-YIE!! LOL

I am sorry if this isn't much of a letter, but I am getting sleepy, and I may end up retiring earlier than planned. I am TIRED! I think I did too much today at work, plus take care of the village LOL AND doing the laundry (ten loads! WHEE!). So on that note, goodnight, sweetie! Sleep tight, and pleasant dreams!
