I am sitting here in the den, writing on the computer, watching Animal Planet's version of the SuperBowl, where they are showing adorable puppies playing and cavorting on a makeshift football field. There is music playing, and the puppies are just too cute. My dog, "Cajun Gold", is going CRAZY watching all the "action" on the screen; she is barking and running around madly! LOL She is also jumping at the tv screen, trying to "bite" the puppies! They also had kittens during the "halftime" segment, and my oh my, but "Cajun Gold" went NUTS!! She was barking up a storm, and then "Cajun", our Maine Coon cat, came strolling in; and when she saw the kitties on tv, well, you can imagine how SHE reacted. She ran right up to the tv and started meowing like crazy and pawing the kitties on the screen! Her tail also furred out big time, and she hissed a time or two! It was a SCREAM just watching her!! LOL As for my husband, he and the kiddos went to church, so I have the house all to myself. There is a SuperBowl Party at Christ Community Assembly of God, and the adults (and some of the older kids) will be watching the game on a wide screen tv in the gymnasium while the younger kids will play games and have refreshments. They probably won't be home until late, like around ten or so. So I will leave the light on for them and then we can put them to bed! LOL
I love football, but I personally hope that the Seattle Seahawks whup on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have been in the SuperBowl too many times, and I think that they play dirty. I also don't like the Atlanta Falcons or the New York Giants! Another team I don't care for is the Carolina Panthers. (My favorite team happens to be the New Orleans Saints, and also the Dallas Cowboys.) GO, SEATTLE! WHUP UP ON THOSE STEELERS!! *grins*
The weather here is cold; in fact, they are calling for SNOW as early as tonight, and also tomorrow! We may get a FEW inches! I am glad that the weather there is lovely. It was lovely, but now the cold air has sunk down South, and the temps dropped in a hurry. I had to break out the winter clothing and crank on the heat when, just a few days ago, we were running around in lightweight jackets and even SHORTS and T=SHIRTS! CRAAAAZY weather we have down here! LOL (OKAY, I meant UP here! LOL)
I would like it if you tell your daughter, Bethie, that I AM keeping her in prayer. I will be more than glad to write to her one day, just to surprise her. I know that therapy can be rough, and I know that she will get depressed from time to time. I have been where she is at now, and it is NOT fun lying in bed for hours or working your tail off and the therapists causing you pain or discomfort as you heal! Yet physical therapy is a necessary part of the recovery process, and if it wasn't for the therapy I had, I wouldn't be walking! I would probably be in a wheelchair for the rest of my days, but I worked hard to learn to walk all over again, and now I am walking, and even RUNNING! So therapy has been nothng but a boon for me! :)
Donna, I am glad that Dixon and Sugar are recovered. That is so good to hear! It is always disconcering when a kid is sick or has the runs, but there are worse things to worry about. Compared to a lot of things, the runs is NOTHING. Sure, it is upsetting and annoying, but that is sometimes what happens in life. We just have to take it as it comes and deal with it and hope for the best! :)
No, I am NOT related to SuperWoamn. I just rely on God to get me through the day, and so far, He has NOT disappointed me. He gives me the strength and the willpower to take care of my family, and I enjoy what I do. As for WHERE I was yesterday, I was OFF work. I am off today too, but I work Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m, (my usual time). Sometimes I work from 7 p.m untl 7 a.m. or 3 p.m. until midnight, but I usually work days. I don't mind working at night (the pay is better, for one thing!), but I love the day time shift because then I can spend the evenings with my family, and I also enjoy the days that I am off.
